Mrs. Fireheart took the check, pulled the drawer of her table and stored it inside. She then turned her attention back to Isaiah without her smile being disturbed, clearly not her first time taking in ‘favors, “Well then on the account of my amazement in your talent, I can share some information with you.”
She pulled out a world map from her drawer. The map was titled “Xerxes” after the planet's name. She pointed her delicate index finger to the Deathsand Desert, “Veridians’ home, Deathsand Desert. Not much is known of their race apart from them being amazing blacksmiths. Their connection to earth is heightened by their racial advantages helping them in while they forge even if they don’t possess an innate earth element. Years ago, one of their leaders decided to migrate from human lands to the desert resulting in our connection to them getting severed.”
Isaiah couldn’t help but raise his eyebrows. This was his first time hearing about races other than humans in this universe, it caught him by a pleasant surprise, “Wouldn’t their racial advantages give them an edge against humans?”, he couldn't help but inquire.
Before she could answer threw out a guess, “Could it be due to low birth rates?”, Mrs. Fireheart shook her head, “Good guess but there is more, It's also due to high infant deaths. When young their bodies collapse due to drawing in too much earthly mana and sometimes it overdoses them to death.”
Isaiah was genuinely surprised by this revelation, “In my past universe evolution fixed such flaws by abandoning certain genes and characteristics. Seems like in this universe, mana-lead evolution is a lot more linear.” Obviously he couldn’t be 100% of this, as it would require more data to be certain but making deductions and keeping them in the back of his mind for future reference never hurt.
Mrs. Fireheart continued, “As for why they haven’t overthrown humans as the prominent race comes down to them only having a Rank 3 powerhouse emerge once in history.”, she chuckled while taking a sip of her tea, “You can imagine what the Emperors of that time did to a foreign Rank 3 powerhouse. It's said that his death was a slow and humiliating one that lasted 3 days and nights to send a message to all those who are hidden amongst this land.”
Isaiah nodded in understanding, “So if I were to pay a visit to them would they be hostile?”, Mrs. Fireheart opened her arms, “I don’t know what their feelings towards humans are like these days.”
Isaiah proceeded to ask a few more probing questions and a few more direct ones to milk all of the information she had but it seemed like the well had dried up.

Isaiah held the armrests of his chair and stood up. He extended his hand and shook hers, “It was a pleasure meeting you. I hope to keep in touch”
Mrs. Fireheart shook his hand back, then walked him towards her door, “Likewise Mr. Isaiah, It’s always a pleasure to get to know intelligent people like yourself. You can always reach out if you have any commissions or questions.”
Isaiah was already walked down the towers stairs when she said that, he turned around with a grin, “You can always subscribe to my communication service’s if you want to be in touch easier”, he continued down the stairs under the echoes of her lovely chuckles.
Isaiah walked down the stairs to the corridor and got back out to the paradise-like lobby, he took out his formation card from his vest and dialed in Terry’s number, “Good afternoon, I need a favor from you. Look into a race called Veridians, see how real they are and how trustable the information regarding them are.” Isaiah called Terry especially because he was a high ranking member of a Duke Family, the information available to him would be vast compared to anyone else he knew at the moment.
Terry typed back, “Fine, If there is nothing else I’m cutting the connection. I’m a bit busy right now.”, Isaiah didn’t mind it one bit as he let the connection end.
He then called his uncle as well and asked him to look into it as well. After he relayed the information he told him, “Uncle, burn some money and look into taking fighting lessons. Also have someone send your mana circulation technique to my secretary. It's time you started to prepare for you ascension to Rank 2”
Louie replied back, “Sure, I was planning to do so either way, just haven’t had the time because of how much work rests on my shoulders these days. I will also make sure to send your secretary my mana circulation technique but what are you gonna do with it? It’s not that I don’t trust you, I'm just curious.”
“Don’t worry, I will just see what I can do to improve it. While your mana control is important for ascending to Rank 2 so is your mana quality which should be low since you have used a mid-tie one since now.” Louie was surprised to hear his nephew, if he didn’t know Isaiah was using a high-tier mana circulation technique that he himself created, he would find it hard to believe him.
Isaiah continued, “While I can improve upon it a little to maybe barely push it to be a high-tier technique. It will lack a lot of features and will be the bottom of the barrel when it comes to high-tier techniques unless you truly make it your own by readjusting it by using my modifications as a frame.”
Louie nodded to himself, and typed back, “I will see what I can do once you send it back. It would be a shame if I wasn’t the first Rank 2 of the Dominus Family and lost that title to my own nephew, Hahaha.”
Before Isaiah closed the communication, he typed out, “Try not to be left in the dust and that's enough” he closed the call while he laughed by himself as he entered in his mana vehicle to drive off.
