Results, Certain Death

A day had passed and Isaiah was back in his office. Lily was shy towards him today, she didn’t remember much that happened last night, only snippets of it but each snippet was more than enough to make her wanna bury her head down in embarrassment.

Isaiah couldn’t help but find her cute seeing how frustrated she was over him simply kissing her forehead. Just as he was about to head out of his office to the corridor to tease her a bit, RING RING, his formation card rang.

He accepted the connection, it was from Ruby, “1873 street”, this was all she wrote but Isaiah got the message. He opened his window, formations exploded beneath his feet as he leaped out to the nearest rooftop.

The moment his feet touched upon it, another formation exploded, propelling him into air. He kept slipping from building to building, with each leap his speed increased till he was traveling like a bullet.

As he closed in on the location he exploded an even large formation beneath his feet which broke his momentum but launched him high up into the air. He was afloat for a second before his sense caught the location of the fight as he dived in like an eagle, ZOOM.

Ruby leaned in, putting all her weight onto her right feet as her left arm exploded forward carrying forth the power of the jets of flames coming out of her fist and her entire body weight.

BOOM, the moment she first landed on her opponent's guts he exploded into a firework of blood and intestines as he was thrown to the neighboring wall, SPLAT!

Ruby straightened her form, as flames evaporated the blood that was soaking her fists, “I can finally report back to Sir Isaiah.” Just as she was feeling happy having completed her mission without any complications, her senses heightened, crumpling her joyful mood instantly.

“Shit!” At the last moment she sidesteps, dodging the flames that came out of the now cracked floor akin to a volcano. Her eyes widened as she felt air flow change on her right side. She put her arms in front of her face hoping to guard whatever that was coming her way, CRACK!

Cracking sounds came out of her body as she was flinged towards the ceiling which didn’t stop her momentum as she went through the ceiling launching further into the sky. As she was falling she regained her consciousness which was gone momentarily.

Right before she was about to hit the floor, she managed to turn her body and slow her fall by firing jets off her feet. While they worked to slow her descent, CRACK! Her left leg landed first taking all the weight on it causing it to break.

As she saw five figures leaping at her from the rooftop, her hand immediately went to her formation card as she sent her location to Isaiah.

The first to arrive next to her was a wind element mage, his sword made of air was lifted high up as he descended from the sky, SLASH, Ruby barely dodge the attack as it grazed her skin. The man didn’t stop and slashed horizontally while leaning towards her direction.

Seeing she couldn’t dodge with her left leg broken, Ruby exploded and fired a jet from her stomach. While this did fling her away from the attack, that much force to her stomach also caused her to catch out blood. Her condition worsened by the second. However, her will didn’t waver; she knew that she had to hold on.

While the wind user was busying her, 6 people including the wind user surrounded her. All their Aura at Peak Rank 1 smashed upon her, causing her already weak body to leak blood from all seven of her orifices. They all wore black clothes that covered their entire bodies.

“Hahaha, we have finally cornered you, Crimson Scar.” The man who had launched her into the air laughed. They were all the leader of gangs, noticing that Ruby was on a hunt against them they set this trap up to end her once and for all.

““I can’t give up now,” she stood weakly, her body refusing to operate as fear started to set in, getting crushed by the Aura’s from the gang leaders.

A man holding a tall metal sword came forth, with his sword held high up as he walked towards her, more akin to an execution rather than a fight at this point, “You shall be a example to all those who want to oppose our control.”

His sword however never descended instead, BOOM!, a huge explosion rang right where he stood. Ruby saw a huge beam of light rain upon the heaven turning the man who didn’t have his armor up into ashes. Her weak lips curled up into a smile before she let herself fall unconscious, “He kept his promise…”

The moment the light entered the eyes of the gang leaders, fear sat into their hearts. They all knew what this ray of light meant as they spread their senses to seek his location out.

The wind elemental mage who had spread his mana far and wide suddenly felt something on his shoulder, “So… What did I miss?”, the words that entered his ear sounded eerily relaxed.

He turned his head to see Isaiah smiling to him as his arm rested on his shoulder. Having not yet comprehended how Isaiah could be right next to him while he was so focused on sensing him with his mana, he still took over as he lashed out with the wind sword, SLASH, SWIRL!

Rather than disappearing into light particles like he expected Isaiah to, he was still standing next to him with his hand covered in condensed mana not only blocked his sword but also crushed it back to pure mana, “Surprise, it was the real me this whole time.”

Just as fear set in, activating his survival instincts to put all his weight to his feet to escape, he noticed his vision shifting. A moment he was seeing Isaiah’s face, next his torso, legs, feets, then the ground as eternal darkness set in. His decapitated body soon followed suit as it too fell.

Isaiah turned his gaze to the remaining members who surprisingly didn’t show any reaction to anything that had happened just now. It was all thanks to Isaiah putting a Sound Isolation Formation and putting up a simple illusion to hide what happened.

HIs slowly walked towards his next target in his hands was a sword made of pure light which he unfortunately couldn’t turn invisible nor did he had to as it fell cutting his next victim in half cleanly.

Sensing the shimmering light of his sword for a moment the remaining member turned to panic. One of them, the rock elementalist, turned around to run but all she ran to was Isaiah’s light covered fist which smashed onto his face exploding his entire head a flurry of blood.

This time no one missed his actions, the remaining 3 gang leaders all decided to run. Two of them decided to group together just in for the small chance that maybe they could try to fight back if they got caught, BOOM! Beams eradicated their entire bodies into ashes, leaving no proof of their existence.

He saw the last guy running, his speed was surprisingly fast. Isaiah lifted his palm and aimed it against the running man, he waited before he was nearly out of the range of his Light Cannon to give him some hope. Then he was also turned into ashes by the ray of shimmering light that fell upon his figure, all that was left of him was a pair of legs which fell flat, “He sure wast fast.”

The last guy was actually faster than Isaiah which surprised him but he guessed that it was the result of his movement technique focusing more on evasion due to his constant fights against powerful Rank 2 enemies rather than pure speed.

Isaiah turned his gaze to the Ruby who laid on the ground covered in wounds, a smile couldn’t help but form on his face. He leaned down to pick her body up into his arms, he looked at her unconscious face, sleeping peacefully with a small smile still present on her lips, “She did well, I should reward her later.”
