Isaiah made incisions to his skin and underlying tissue to access the chest cavity and heart. He didn't feel pain due to local anesthesia. He used retractors to carefully separate the ribs and access the pericardial sac surrounding the heart, he cut through it to access the heart.
Louie watched as his nephew skillfully opened access to his own heart. Isaiah turned to look at his uncle, "Pass me the gear." Louie carefully handed the gear to him, the mana shards were already in their place, held securely by the gear.
"It's showtime," without an ounce of hesitation, Isaiah pierced his heart in cold blood, more than a dozen sharp mana shards entered his heart. The mana stopped the bleeding temporarily, but unless he could control the mana, he wouldn't have much time to live.
Louie, right after Isaiah pierced his heart, immediately activated the formations, his mana mastery was clear from his casual movements, unlike Farida he didn't struggle even a bit. He watched as the mana from Isaiah's heart and the formations' mana met, giving Isaiah just a bit more time to gain control over the mana. There was not much Louie could do from here on out other than have trust in his nephew.
Isaiah laid with his eyes closed, it wasn't on purpose. He couldn't open his eyes due to the sheer mana surging through his body, it put heavy weight on his body, messing with the functionality of his body parts. He tried to sense the mana coursing through his veins but struggled due to his extremely poor mana talent. Unless he could manage to control the mana in the next 3 minutes, he would die.
Seeing that even with such an extreme method he was struggling didn't make him panic, instead, he calmed himself further, entering a zen-like state, all he focused on was the mana coursing through his veins, the thought of death didn't even cross his mind.
Even though he knew of the mana coursing through him and even felt it rushing through his veins, he couldn't "sense" it. Sensing and feeling weren't the same. one was physical and the other seemingly spiritual. All of a sudden he felt a connection with the mana through a dimension he knew so well, it was the same feeling he got when the light pulled his soul into this universe from the unknown, resulting in his transmigration being successful.
Suddenly, the mana in his body rushed out of his body in a torrent, creating a rush of breeze to appear within the tent, all the objects dropped to the floor. Louie countered it with his mana so he remained unmoving, but a smile gradually formed on his face.
Isaiah's eyes opened wide, and the first thing he uttered once he had awakened was, "Scalpel." Louie handed him the scalpel while saying, "Congrats on reaching Rank 1 at such a young age." Isaiah couldn't focus on him as he was busy closing his heart back up, he filled the holes in his heart with his mana so he wouldn't bleed out, Rank 1 mages were quite resilient as long as they were smart with their mana. He stitched the opening and applied a layer of mana to hold it in place to prevent it from opening while it healed.

He got up, a huge smile present on his face as he started jumping up and down to test his body, "The resilience of Rank 1 is amazing, I can already move." Seeing this made his uncle laugh, "Going up in ranks essentially increases your Existence by a level, the difference between each rank is worlds apart."
Isaiah heard him, causing a devious smile to form on his face. He lifted his hand, outputting a huge pressure that pressed down on his uncle. Louie was caught off guard, he felt immense weight press on him, pushing his entire being towards the ground, but being more experienced in his Rank, he counteracted the pressure with his own, which not only canceled it but put counter pressure on Isaiah. Remembering Isaiah's scars were still fresh, Louie quickly pulled back his pressure.
"You have a powerful Aura for a newly advanced Rank 1," hearing his uncle say this caused Isaiah to think, "It seems like I can control mana just fine, but my talent falls when it comes to sensing it." He thought to himself. He didn't plan to reveal his lacking mana sense to anyone, it was better to keep this kind of stuff private and put a front. On a side note, he was relieved that his mana control wasn't lacking because that would cause him so much needless headaches.
"What is your innate element?" his uncle Louie inquired, each mage would find out their innate element while advancing to Rank 1. Rather than straight up answering, Isaiah showed Louie his palm, confusing him as to what his nephew was trying to convey. A huge light lit up the room, straining Louie's eyes, and causing him to close them involuntarily. Soon, he managed to recover and open his eyes, but all he could see was a room painted in white, nothing could be made out due to the intense blinding light. All he heard was loud laughter coming from the light source, Isaiah pulled back the light but didn't stop laughing.
"How funny, you could have just said 'light'." While his tone was stern, the smile on his face told a different story.
Isaiah lifted his hand, and a huge sword made of light formed into his hands. It shone with blinding light, with a clean, swift motion it cut towards his uncle! Louie instinctively put up his hands and put up a mana armor on his body. All that effort was wasted as the huge blinding sword didn't do any damage, it was just for show, it simply passed through him like a projection. Having made his uncle fall for the same joke twice sent Isaiah into a laughing spiral, "No way you fell for it twice!"
While bothered at first, he couldn't help but join in the laughter after seeing his nephew laugh non-stop, it was a joyous occasion after all. "Yeah, you got me, I didn't expect your mana control to be so good right off the bat, so I was caught off guard." Isaiah managed to compose himself finally, there was a very plausible explanation as to why his mana control was so sublime right off the bat. In his previous life, methods of input such as a mouse, keyboard, or controllers were abandoned long ago. Tech was used via one's brain, which, while giving more freedom, resulted in a demanding learning curve towards the beginning. That's why Isaiah could control and shape his mana as if he had experience off the cuff.
