Isaiah used his momentum from sliding off the ground with his formations and exploded them to leap high up towards the island, he moved like a bullet as his ascension continued. However, the island was stationed above the clouds, not a place he could reach in a single jump.
Just as his momentum was coming to an end, another set of formations exploded beneath his feet, then another, and one more till he pierced through the clouds and approached the bottom of the island. The island's bottom was rocky and thin, it gradually thickened towards the top, turning into flat land.
He had calculated his last formations’ strength just enough for him not to slap onto the bottom of the island but instead approach slowly. His arms were spread wide along with his legs, upon contact his fingers acted like claws as they etched themselves into the rock.
Isaiah looked down below, it was hazy as clouds obstructed the vision down below, “My expectations for the top grow alongside the island’s height.” He first turned invisible, then started to claw his way towards the top.
Unlike the deserted plains below, above the clouds, the air currents were raging as they hit his back. Claw by claw he made it to a small cave alongside the island’s bottom. He threw himself inside as he breathed heavily, his hand had already gone to his backpack to take out a bottle of water.
He drank the entire bottle and only then did he relax back towards the cave’s walls, “This heat is akin to hell’s breeze.”, The island was unobstructed from the sun. He received direct rays from it but that wasn’t the worst part, it was the hellish breeze that hit his body that made the journey a torture. Each breeze seemingly took all the water content in his body.
The good part was that he had already made it halfway atop, now he only had to ascend the other half till he hopefully made it to a living civilization. There was no guarantee that he wouldn’t find a bunch of corpses above the island’s surface.
He waited till, the sun went down, replacing itself with the gorgeous white moon. The moon’s beauty seemed even more eternal to Isaiah, now that it solved his heat problem.
He went back outside and continued his climb atop. This time he was much faster without those deadly heat torrents hitting his body, boiling him alive.

His body was still invisible as he pushed through the edge and pulled himself above the island’s surface.
He breathed heavily, letting his breathing calm down after a hard climb. He cracked his aching knuckles and observed his surroundings. Right before him was a maze of trees combining to create a large forest.
Just as he was contemplating how he should approach his search, the sound of a river entered his ears like a heavenly melody, “I was running low on water, luck must be on my side” His definition of “running low” was loose as he still had 5 more full bottles in his backpack.
He walked towards the sound, “I hope I don’t encounter another Torrent Serpent”, he laughed at himself, that the last time he followed the sound of the water it didn’t end well for him.
“Well, I guess I obtained the Sandborn Fruit seeds, that should make up for the ribs I broke.”, he chuckled once more as grass crunched beneath his feet with each step, the river’s sounds coming clear now.
He finally made it to the river. He got inside to let his feet get submerged in the running water. There weren’t many animals around due to it being night time. Isaiah leaned down to put his pack back aside, he then lifted all the empty bottles with his mana and submerged them in the river, letting water flow inside them.
He then lifted them back up, they were floating all around him before coming to a stop. Isaiah let his light mana envelop the bottles, and soon they started to heat up and boil. The quality of the bottles and him only using enough heat, made it so that the bottles didn’t melt under the heat.
He floated them back inside his back back. At that exact moment, his ears perked picking up a sound from one of the trees to his south. He sent his Aura towards the origin of the noise, causing a snake to fall from the branch of the tree.
The snake didn’t have any luck in resisting as it was merely at Rank 0, it was crushed beneath Isaiah’s overbearing Aura. He couldn’t help but wonder to himself upon seeing the snake, “What’s with all these serpents that I keep seeing?” First the Manticore’s tail, then the Torrent Serpent and now this snake in front of him. While it gave him an ominous feeling, he didn’t think much of it for now, only storing it for future reference.
He settled on a rock and gathered a few branched, leaves, etc. to make a campfire to roast this snake. He put the snake on a stick, lit the campfire aflame, then placed the snake on the stick above the campfire.
“Truth be told, I’m getting bored of eating snakes.” He could hunt something else but it might result in loud noises which might give his presence away to Veridians. He slowly cooked the snake to a delicious temperature and dug in.
He had set up a Sound and Smell Isolation Formation, just in case any intelligent life wondered about the source of the smell of his meal.
He ate the entire snake within just minutes, he decided to set up a few formations before going to sleep till he heard, “Greta! Greta!” the loud shouts of a man, which caused his mouth to widen into a smile, “Well, let me see who this Greta is.” Sound isolation formation blocked his laughter as he got up from the rock he sat on.
