Money In Liquid Form

Money In Liquid Form

Isaiah moved his feet out of the sludge of flesh and blood. Due to the light covering his body, he hadn't gotten any blood on himself.

He took a sip of the whiskey glass full of Golden Liquid in his hands, then he turned his attention to a more interesting part of the room rather than the corpse below him.

He proceeded to ravage the entire room, turning it upside down. He managed to find anything that was valuable or not. He put all the valuables in a suitcase he found laying around and exited the room.

He descended the stairs while humming a melody. As he was about to continue his descent, his gaze wandered into the entrance of the current floor he was on—the receptionist's floor. A devious smile crept onto his face as he decided to make a little detour.

DING, DING, for some inexplicable reason, the receptionist he had scared before was behind the counter once more. Her condition looked better, but that all changed when she heard the sound of the bells ring. She slowly and dreadfully turned to peek at who rang the bell, only to meet the one person she didn't want it to be—Isaiah.

"Y-yes, Sir?" she asked with a trembling voice. The reason she had yet to evacuate was that she was afraid of getting caught up in a possible fight, so she had wished to wait until things calmed down.

"Guess if I have changed my life regarding you?" he said with a slight smile, his head rested on his palm as he was leaning against the counter, his gaze falling upon her with an intensity she couldn't handle.

A few tears streaked from her cheeks, as sobbing began once more. "Hopefully not, S-sir." Hearing her response, Isaiah nodded. "You seem to be good at these guessing games." He lifted his head to give her a pat on the head and left the receptionist's room once more to continue his descent down the stairs, leaving behind a confused girl.

Cleck, clack, his heels kicked the stairs as he rapidly descended all the way down to floor -5. It was very dimly lit, not receiving any natural light. After going through a long corridor, he was greeted with a huge concrete metal door. It clearly was no simple metal; however, it simply caused a smile to creep on Isaiah's face. "If the vault is like this, I wonder what's inside the vault."

He covered his arm in concentrated light mana, twisted his body, and wound his arm back. TUMB, TUMB, the entire building shook as Isaiah proceeded to rain a fury of punches upon the vault.

THUMB, CRACK, the vault started to slowly crack under the immense power and precision of each of his punches, only hitting the weak point repeatedly, before there appeared a fist-sized hole.

He put his hands in the hole and grabbed its edges, getting into a position where both his chest and core were fully activated. GAH! He started to pull apart his arms, causing the hole to slowly widen.

With one last pull, it was now wide enough for him to squeeze through. He looked at the hole he had made and how much trouble he went through to make it. "It's somehow even better than my expectations," he mused, entering inside the vault, which caused his eyes to shine with light.

A laugh rang out within the large vault. "HAHAHA This solves half of my current problems." It was filled to the brim with stacks of GC. This was the vault of one of the richest gangs within the district, so it made sense for them to have large quantities of cash, but Isaiah hadn't expected this amount.

His mana spread as he started counting just how much cash was present inside. As his mana spread, he found something that was not cash, so he made his way towards it. He leaned and picked it up. It was small but quite heavy, pitch black with tints of light purple glistering inside it. "Hmm, now what is this?" He turned it side by side. The more he examined it, the more certain he became that it was simply a high-quality piece of metal, which was perfect for Isaiah. It was sure to be handy in the future.

Mana could cause metals to gain different types of attributes or specialties after prolonged contact. Obviously, the reason wasn't just contact with pure mana, or else there wouldn't be this much alteration, but the process took so long, sometimes thousands of years, that it was hard to pinpoint the exact causes behind the alterations in metals or beings other than just pure mana.

He then spread his mana once more. It covered the entire vault as he began counting his stacks. "1001, 1011, 1021," Isaiah nodded as he came to a conclusion. There was a total of 337k GC in cash form laying around the vault.

While it might be considered a large amount, it still wouldn't be enough for him to participate in the upcoming noble auction. Since he first had to get the wyvern egg for Terry to be able to get the invite, he would be left with 137k GC, which might seem a lot, but the prices of light-related items fluctuated a lot. He might leave the auction empty-handed unless he had an extra 500k GC after counting in the price of the egg.

He was thoughtful. While he could rob the other gangs, and he would, there was sure to not be this much money in their vaults. The Gold Liquor gang, under the leadership of Dave, who he had to give him his right, was a good businessman, was the richest gang in the entire district by far.

Even if he managed to rob every single gang in the district, it wouldn't amount to more than 200k GC, especially now that he had taken out most of the major gangs already, including the Gold Liquor, Green Hut, and Blue Dust Gangs.

It could be said that there wasn't anyone in his way for him to take over the entire district with a final grand push, or he could just take things slow as well.

It was a decision he would make once he got his hands on a paper and pen and made the necessary calculations.

He could sell this building for quite a bit of GC, but he didn't want to. This building had managed to catch his fancy, and he would rather own it than sell it. Also, the production line of Gold Liquor was set up in floors 0 to -4 of this building. If he sold it, it wouldn't be long before it turned into a massive loss with how much money-making potential it had.

Isaiah's initial plan was to sell the Gold Liquor to outside of the district, mainly the noble district. However, nobles wouldn't buy something the common folk drank for enjoyment, so he would have to go for a rebranding or a branching brand.
