Isaiah got out of the lake, and a warm light covered his clothes, effectively drying his clothes. “Let’s get to the main meal, shall we?” He had already spent the past few days drinking the entire supply of Sandborn Fruits available in the oasis, just in case something ominous happened while he was investigating the source of the oasis. He didn’t want to have to let off the fruits and run.
His mana vortex dissipated as the last session of his mana circulation was done. Coupled with all the fruits he ate, he had made quite a bit of progress towards reaching Rank 1 High.
He first walked around the entire lake, his mana penetrating the ground beneath it, “Found it.” His mana had detected a small hole that let out bubbles.
He sank into the water again. First, his feet submerged, then his legs, chest, shoulders, and head till he was deep inside the lake. Once within the hole's proximity, he placed his palm flat on top of it, covering it entirely. Light mana kept gathering onto his palm nonstop till, BOOM!
He used his Light Cannon Formation and enlarged the hole, BOOM! With another light cannon, large amounts of water gushed inside the huge hole that led to a dark underground cave.
He shined his light inside, and the moment his light illuminated the dark cave and let him see what was inside, his eyes shrank, SHOO! BOOM! A huge torrent of water ray shot through the hole, enlarging it further.
At the last moment, a formation exploded on Isaiah’s stomach launching him backward uncontrollably to barely dodge the attack that would break all his bones if he were to be hit.
Isaiah maneuvered in the air and landed safely. The moment his feet touched that ground, he started dashing away at his full speed, the entire lake’s water lifted towards the sky, and once above the sky it pivoted its contents around to create the head of a large snake head made of torrenting water. The huge head opened its jaw as two large teeth made of tornadoing high-pressure water launched towards Isaiah.
Isaiah sensed the huge head coming towards him as he looked over his shoulder, explosions rang beneath his feet launching him toward the sky. The huge head crashed where he was a moment ago, causing a huge splash to occur which transformed into another head, this time ascending towards Isaiah with its jaw wide open about to swallow him whole.
Knowing he couldn’t dodge this one, Isaiah shifted his body so hard that his left rib broke a few bones. SHOO! The fangs of the huge snake made of water clashed with Isaiah's blinding light sword which he had swung with a last moment maneuver.

The moment his sword grazed the fangs it broke under the fang’s pressure, dispersing into light particles, but it did give him enough momentum to launch himself backward to put distance between him and the gigantic snake’s head.
His rough landing on the ground broke a few more of his bones, this time on his right rib. The broken bones pieced into his flesh causing internal bleeding to occur, “Woah, that was close… but fun.” he said while blood leaked from his mouth was adorned with a wide smile. His pearly white teeth were dyed red now.
His gaze watched as the huge snake head made of water went back into the oasis to once again transform into a lake, “This trip was worth it, I got to see a Rank 2 Middle Torrent Serpent.” Isaiah knew the huge liquid snake head that rushed towards him wasn’t the serpent's real body. The real body was hidden beneath the lake, inside the cave, not even bothering to exit its cave under Isaiah’s presence.
Isaiah took a mental note of this place as for a moment he managed to catch a glimpse of a huge serpent with azure scales coiled around a mound of water gems. There was a fortune’s worth of water gems right beneath the oasis guarded by that beast.
The beast wasn’t smart, it would neither hide nor run away despite now that his location was discovered, meaning Isaiah had the time on his side. One day he would visit again, and the Torrent Serpent would be on the end of the sword edge.
He leaned back against the dune. He first regulated his rough breathing, then observed the damage inside his body with his mana, “Not so bad as expected” Isaiah had intentionally taken damage in areas that were easier to heal for himself.
While ribs were a hard area to heal for normal doctors, Isaiah could hold them together with his mana till they mended together, as for the threat of the broken bones poking his heart; that was handled by the protective dome he put around his heart. While it wasn’t the most powerful shield due to his Rank’s limitations, it was enough to block a bone shard.
His mana carefully manipulated the bones back to their place and made sure they stayed where they belonged till they mended. Once comfortable in their stability, he moved to do a few stitches on his flesh using his mana as threads. Normally, this procedure would have been difficult for him to perform due to how much mental focus it required to keep all the different mana instances active together. Luckily he had been training throughout his entire journey for this exact moment.
Now that he had free time from his work, he didn’t slack off with this vacation as an excuse. Instead, he had been training his mana multi-tasking abilities, his past life helped but not much due to him not possessing the same brain anymore. His knowledge however did help a lot in getting back his multi-tasking abilities via systemic training.
He didn’t bother continuing his journey before his injuries healed. Which only took 3 days due to his increased constitution thanks to his Rank.
After 3 days he took the road once more, formation beneath his feet moving him forward. His gaze was always looking around, trying not to miss the floating island as he didn’t know its size.
His eyes shined as a gigantic floating island entering vision, it was like an entire mountain floating above the clouds, “Seems like I worried for nothing. This island is impossible to miss.”
