Swift Purchase

Isaiah yawned, having just woken up. He was feeling a lot better. Before he went to sleep, he used his vortex technique to stimulate the mana within his system, which helped in his recovery.

Of course, he still wasn't in top-notch condition; his body was still aching. His living space was located at the bottom of the casino, so he made his way up to his office.

"I'm betting it all on Red!" "It was Black before, it will be Black again!" "Shit! I lost it all." There was a lot of commotion going around, people were gambling, enjoying themselves, but most importantly, losing money.

While at first, people were hesitant to try them, the games he implanted from his previous universe were the ones played the most apart from a few local classics such as Silver Coin and King's Demise.

King's Demise, in particular, was an interesting game. If it was purely luck-based, there was a stack of cards telling the story of a battle. Each attack card had a different point value, and you could bet at any time as to who would win the battle. The earlier you bet, the lower your odds would be, and vice versa.

Isaiah was wondering if he could implant Creature Racing in the future. While betting on races was already popular, they were only done at the local spots where the races took place. He wondered if he could broadcast it to his casino with the use of his innate light element and formations. It certainly wasn't impossible; while hard, it would make his casino truly a one-of-a-kind place, a gambling haven.

As he walked around, the chatter around him was like a melody to Isaiah's ears, each shout signifying another coin in his pocket.

He arrived upstairs, not seeing Lily present, and directly went inside his office. He took a few of his belongings and went back outside, exiting the casino altogether.

He made his way to the first of the X's on the map he drew before, where he found his uncle and a woman beside him. They were busy talking when Isaiah arrived.

"Good morning," Isaiah called from behind them, causing their heads to turn.

Louie smiled when he saw Isaiah. He put his hand on his shoulder, then pointed towards the woman next to him. "Isaiah, this is my dear friend, Natasha. She will help you in acquiring the properties you asked for." The woman with pitch-black hair, red eyes, and a beautiful smile spoke while she shook Isaiah's hand with her own delicate hands; her aura was High Rank 1, just like his uncle's. "You must be Mr. Isaiah, the handsome owner of the newly opened Dominus Casino I hear so much about."

A wide smile appeared on his face when he heard the beautiful woman speak so highly of him. "And I heard so much about you as well, saying you were great at your job. I'm convinced the rumors were true after seeing you here, ready to sell the properties just a day after I asked for them." Natasha chuckled, matching his tone. "What can I say, Isaiah? I can't help but be energized whenever money is around the corner."

Isaiah laughed, "Then we will get along just fine."

He turned to look at the property, asking, "I hope you aren't unsatisfied that I'm rushing things." He lifted the suitcase in his hands, opening its head to reveal the stacks of GC inside.

Natasha touched the GC from habit and replied with a wide smile on her face, "Not whatsoever. I love men who know what they want and don't waste time." Isaiah passed the suitcase directly to her. "Well then, I won't waste any more of your time," he added with a smile, "though you are welcome to visit me in my casino anytime." He pulled out a blank business card from his vest and reached it out to her. SIZZLE, light appeared on its face, burning his initials on it.

Natasha took the card from his hand, putting it in her purse. "I will definitely make sure to visit you, Isaiah." After chatting for a while longer, both Louie and Natasha left. Louie hadn't spoken much, as his purpose was to link them up in the first place.

Isaiah, however, remained. He was waiting for the construction crew, which arrived soon after. "Mr. Isaiah, it's a pleasure to work with you once more," Amelia, the daughter of the construction company that had built his casino previously, spoke.

Isaiah nodded, "Likewise," then turned his attention to the wrecked building. "How much will it take for us to build my on these properties?" He had already given them the design he drew. It was a pretty simple building; it looked more like an abstract art statue. It was a tall pyramid with a plate in its middle. "It would take at least a week. While building your design will be easy, demolishing the already existing building will take some time," she replied, having no idea he would want to build such a design in the first place, but still doing her job perfectly.

Hearing that, Isaiah responded, "Perfect, two days it is then." Just as she was about to clear his supposed misunderstanding, having clearly said a week, Isaiah pulled back the wrists of his suits, and light converged into his palm until it was painted in pure blinding white. Just the aura released when casting it caused Amelia to take a step back.

BOOM, BOOM! Two Light Cannon Formations beamed at the building, nearly erasing it from sight entirely. After her vision returned due to the sheer light that the attack let out, Amelia could make out a completely demolished building under smoke and dust.

Isaiah patted her shoulder with the same hand that he had cast the light cannons with, causing Amelia to shriek a little, still in a daze as to what happened right before her. "So, two days it is, then, huh?" he asked her with a slight smile plastered on his face.

Amelia nodded blankly, "Y-yes, two days would be enough if you help us demolish them."

Due to the way Isaiah chose these properties he was purchasing, they were easy to demolish. Not having any real operating buildings around them, however, he could only use this brute approach halfway through the line. The other half was towards the inner city; if he cast Light Cannons there like he did here, he would be sure to get himself in trouble.

Towards the middle of the city, the laws got more enforced and were stricter. The middle was where the nobles' estates were located, just outside of the innermost circle were where the richest businessmen of the empire resided, his uncle being one of them.

Of course, the distribution of where the wealthy lived wasn't so monogamous; the seaside district was another place where the rich of the empire preferred to reside.

While there was no law against light mages blinding people due to their abilities, that wouldn't stop them from prosecuting him as long as they wanted to find a reason they could.
