Green Hut Gang

Green Hut Gang

He gazed at the guards patrolling below; he could sense their Rank 1 prowess from where he stood. A smile crept onto his face. He lifted both of his palms to face the building; both his palms were soon covered in blinding light, so bright that it immediately attracted the attention of the guards and also caused his invisibility to get disrupted. However, none of that mattered, as he was about to double cast Light Cannon Formation!

"BEAM! SWOOSH!" Both rays of light beams hit the building, obliterating half of the structure in an instant. It was so bright that it turned the night into day momentarily. The sheer power of the spell made his body move back four steps.

Seeing the building was on the brink of collapse, guards used their various moves. Some used body armor spells in hopes of protecting themselves, while others used their movement techniques in hopes of dodging the falling tower. BOOM! A huge dust smoke covered the entire street, however, it was still eerily quiet. That was due to the tower being located in the outskirts of the district. There was only Isaiah and the guards present.

Two men managed to get out of the rubble after the collapse of the tower. Another man was floating high up in the air, clearly being an air elemental mage. He dived towards Isaiah. As his dive continued, he pulled back his arm that held onto his sword and twisted his body to launch a powerful wind slash upon his arrival atop the building.

SLASH! As Isaiah's head fell, the man sheathed back his sword. The man's moment was ruined with a surprise punch right onto his guts. The man quickly recovered and slashed back at the figure that attacked him in the guts. His slash cut the target in half, but the cut felt shallow. He immediately knew it was another clone.

While he was correct in his guess, there was little he could do against Isaiah's clone + invisibility combo. Isaiah launched a fury of punches towards the man. Each retaliation attempt made by the man was met with Isaiahs dissipating into light particles, followed by a sucker punch.

As each punch was about to make contact, he would cause a small mana explosion to occur, increasing the deadliness of his attacks. Injuries built up on the wind user; his condition worsening with each passing moment.

The wind user had fallen onto his knees, his breathing rough. Isaiah twisted his body dynamically with his leg swinging at the wind user's head. Just as his kick was about to land on the wind user's head, the ground beneath Isaiah suddenly erupted, causing him to launch into the air uncontrolled.

Another man rushed towards him in the sky. In his hand was a large sledgehammer made of earth. He twisted his body, putting his entire strength into swinging the hammer that made its way towards Isaiah in an instant.Isaiah covered his face with his hands as the impact landed on his body, launching him even further up the sky. He barely managed to stabilize his body and floated in the sky with the help of Floating Formation under his feet.

"Cough, cough," he coughed blood. The impact had really damaged his internal organs. However, there was no fear nor worry on his face, only a wide smile as blood leaked through his teeth, covering his pearly smile red.

He dived straight back onto the ground with no hesitation. At the moment of impact, he used formations to slow his descent. At this very exact moment, the sledgehammer knocked at him once more, but all it knocked was the light particles out of him.

The real Isaiah descended from the sky. Just as he was about to land, he twisted his body so hard that his spine made a cracking sound. With the combined power of his body and gravity, he landed a devastating kick right onto the sledgehammer wielder's head.

The kick took the head with it, causing it to fall to the ground and roll on, spilling blood trails on its path. Isaiah's entire body hurt from such an intense kick. He stretched his back, trying to check if anything was broken in his body. He especially checked his spine.

After making sure everything was fine, he picked up the sledgehammer from the hands of the decapitated corpse and made his way towards the wind user. "Please don't, PLEASE!" he begged to no avail. Isaiah lifted the sledgehammer and brought it crashing down with no mercy.

"CRACK, CRACK, SPLASH!" He continued till he was sure the wind user wouldn't be a problem once more. He then turned his attention to the crack in the building that first launched him in the air. He spread his mana in hopes of finding the culprit that caused it.

As he continued his search, a smile appeared on his face. "Found you!" he said with a laugh, then formations exploded under his feet as he jumped from building to building.

...

Roman ran at full speed, his speed, however, rather lacking as he was an earth mage. "Shit! What did I involve myself into?" he regretted messing with Isaiah so much. He wished he had just run the moment he arrived.

They had been warned prior about the possible arrival of Isaiah, and he hadn't thought much of it, thinking, "So what if he attacks us? Isn't he just another Rank 1 like us?" He couldn't have been more wrong. He should have run the moment Isaiah released his light rays, abolishing half of the entire building.

"BooM, boOM!" The hairs on his body stood on their ends. He could hear the sounds of explosions coming closer. He ran as fast as he could, stumbling and rolling on the ground but always getting back up to run for his life in hopes of escaping to the city—a more crowded space, a place where even Isaiah would have to tone back his ruthless attacks.

"BoOM! BOOM!" The sounds of the explosions were nearing him at a rapid rate. He could feel the impact on his back. "NO, NO, NO! This can't be happening!" He turned around, wanting to beg for a chance, a chance to live. However, the moment his head turned, he was met with the figure of a man descending upon him, wielding a huge sledgehammer, lifted high up to the heavens. The sun covered his figure, making him appear holy as opposed to horrifying. Before he could react, the sledgehammer had met his head. His vision soon turned into blurs of various locations before fading into pitch black.

...

Isaiah looked at the headless corpse next to his feet for a moment before turning his gaze to face back to the tower he had collapsed. A huge smile appeared on his face, in great contrast with his ruined surroundings. "Let's see what treasures they have gathered for me." He made his way back to the collapsed tower while whistling a gentle tune, hoping to recover all the documents that had survived the collapse.
