While she was walking out of the café, Isaiah said, "You are welcome to visit my casino anytime, Miss Agetha." As she turned to look at him, he had a smile on his face.
She nodded, "I will make sure to visit once it opens, Mr. Isaiah." She then turned around and walked out, entering her mana vehicle. She had actually been quite curious as to what Isaiah was going to do with the property. She definitely didn't expect the answer to be a casino. "Isaiah Dominus... Such a weird man," she thought to herself. "Could it be because I'm used to dealing with old heads?" she mused.
Lily came next to Isaiah after Agetha left, "Sir, did I hear it correctly that you are going to open a casino?" she inquired respectfully.
Isaiah simply nodded while sipping his coffee, "Indeed, you will finally get to do real work," he then chuckled, "Even though you were such a nice barista."
Lily pouted, but she was internally relieved. She had been wanting to work in her expertise for a while, so hearing that she would soon get the chance made her happy.
Loud laughter came from outside the café, "HAHAHAHA!" The man that entered the shop was none other than Louie, a suitcase in his hand as always. It was like he was born with it. "If it isn't my nephew, Isaiah, the pride of the extensive Dominus Family."
Isaiah chimed back with a smirk, "Extensive? Me, you, and auntie are extensive now?" Louie took a seat and simply responded, "It's not the number of members who make a family great; it's how rich they are, and we are on our way to being filthy rich." He then burst into laughter.
Isaiah shook his head, "Alright, alright, tell me, did you handle what I asked of you?" Louie nodded, "Who do you think I am? Of course, I handled it. All they need is the blueprint, and they will get to work."
Isaiah had previously asked his uncle to find him a construction company to build the casino. To his uncle, this was a rather easy feat, and he managed to get it done in a way. Obviously, the fact that due to the existence of magic, construction was faster to build helped. The construction companies had a more swift structure rather than the ones in his previous universe, where just the planning might take up months.
Isaiah got up, and after a few minutes, he came back with a stack of papers. On one of the papers was the architectural drawing of the casino; the rest of them were regarding the engineering behind it.
This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author's work.
The drawing was that of a Greek temple with twelve columns supporting it, made of pure white silver with golden accents. It looked majestic, but what baffled Louie the most was the huge statue of Isaiah right on top of the temple, one of his arms raised to the sky akin to holding up the sky, his other hand touching the ground.
Louie asked, confused, "Is this a concept or what? We definitely can't build this right now." He looked at Isaiah for an answer.
And an answer he would receive. Isaiah handed him another paper; the temple was still the same. However, the statue this time was composed of rough blocks, looking like a low-polygon render of the original statue.
Louie nodded, "This looked more manageable, but if you are going to give up this much quality, you might as well do something else."
Isaiah shook his head, "I will sculpt the original from this rough version." Hearing this made Louie's ear perk up, "With what?" Isaiah shrugged, "You will see."
Louie sighed, "Sure, keep your secrets. I'm not sure about this casino business in the first place." Isaiah simply smiled, his posture as confident as ever, "Just leave that part to me. Since when were you let down by me?"
Louie nodded; this was the only reason he was agreeing to this in the first place, his trust in his nephew. Otherwise, he found it hard to believe that a huge casino would do well due to magic scammers. Even if Isaiah found a formation for it, would he make the money back to maintain those formations?
Louie decided to change the topic, "Nice job with those two," he laughed, "Your 'friends' must be pretty good at their job." He was talking about the people Isaiah told him he would hire to kill House and Star. Louie was no idiot; he had obviously figured out pretty easily that it was Isaiah behind the murders. And it wasn't just him; most people were already guessing that it might be Isaiah behind those murders. While they had their guesses, without any strong evidence, they couldn't go after Isaiah. And who would bother to gather evidence to get justice for two dogs of the underworld, Star and House?
Isaiah coughed, "I don't know what you mean. You didn't even ask if I'm fine; I might have died," he then laughed loudly. He obviously didn't bother to hide it. He wasn't being reckless, though; he simply had different plans for letting people guess he was behind the assassinations.
Louie also joined him in his laughter, "Alright, enough jokes. Do you need a place to stay now that you are homeless?" he asked him.
Isaiah shook his head, "No need, I will be busy overseeing the construction of the temple, and I can crash here at the café until it finishes."
Louie decided to warn him, "While they are only suspecting right now, they might send people after you since you decided to mess with the hierarchy of the Second Emperor District's criminal organizations. If they don't come because of that, you now own property right at the heart of it; they will definitely come after you."
Isaiah nodded; his uncle was right, "Let them come. If they don't, I will go after them." He took a sip of his coffee.
Louie didn't say much more. He didn't like involving himself in the criminal side of the business; he had a family after all. He had his wife, and he would maybe have a kid in the future. He didn't want to get into messy business, so he let Isaiah do as he willed.
