Alex sighed, laying down on the couch, "So, want to help me juggle my deceptions?"

Jolana smiled softly, wiggling over to gently stroke over Alex's head, "I'm guessing Tom couldn't reschedule then?"

"You heard then?" Groaning, Alex leaned over to rest their head on Jolana's lap, "No, he couldn't reschedule. So, I have the joyous task of either running two complete sims, with either you or Dr Elune entertaining Max while I handle Tom."

"Sounds like fun." Grinning, Jolana leant down to kiss their forehead, "I think it will be better for me to handle Max, so you can just focus on running the sims. Does that sound better?"

"... A little, if we can convince both sides that I am inisposed." Furrowing their brow, Alex relaxed slightly as Jolana continued stoking their forehead, "But that means coming up with a good reason to not be present."

Jolana smirked, "Oh, that's easy. Say you are out supervising maintenance on the shuttle, since you don't have to be present to actually run the virtual sims. We even have some panels to install which will help with the facade."

"... That is actually a pretty good idea." Grinning up at her, Alex leant up to kiss Jolana on the lips, "Thank you."

Jolana blushed deeply, coughing slightly before looking away, "That might mean work for you, though... Running the drones to actually move some of the panels arouund."

"I have been running drones for years, I can just design a subroutine for Greg's systems to run." Giggling softly, Alex reached up to brush Jolana's glowing cheek, "Anything the matter?"

"... No, just pleasantly surprised."  Giggling, Jolana gently pushed the hand away, "Anything else I should know before they arrive tomorrow?"

"Not as far as I know of. I just need to make sure I plan ahead." Alex smiled up at her, stretching out on the couch, "You are helping me calm dowm though... Thank you."

Sighing in resignation, Jolana layed down on the couch next to Alex, hugging them from behind, "Anything I can do to help. I know how important this is to you. And... To Sam. Stirring up trouble at this point would be disasterous"

Alex nodded, and rolled over slightly to hug her middle, "... You and your family have done a lot for us. Thank you."

Jolana blushed further, smiling as she stroked through Alex's synthetic hair, "Well, if I get to enjoy your comany as a result... It is very much worth it~"

Alex giggled back up at her with a smile, "If you say so. In the meantime, how shall we keep me from overthinking this...?"

Jolana hummed, glancing down at Alex, "... I can think of a few things~"
