Dr Elune rolled over, and saw an Alex smiling up at them.
Alex quickly found themself pouting from the floor next to the bed, "Hey, I didn't think you would actually throw me!"
"I did warn you...Since I'm up, anything interesting for the day?"
"Actually... There are a few things. First, and most pressing, is that I am now able to fully make use of an AHOR unit."
"Oh, neat." Sitting up with a yawn, Dr Elune waved Alex over gently, "That will be very handy."
"Indeed. I generally limit the output to twice the human threshold, though... No need to wast our resources on seeing the hallways more clearly." Climbing up on the bed, Alex sat next to thr doctor meekly.
"Good point. Squim, and I throw you off agin, by the way."
"Got it. The next thing, is that I have been using the rest of my optimal processing to refine the neural pathway design.... While it won't be quite as powerful as the station, I think we can have a more... Portable version ready in the next month."
"Damn, that was fast. I suppose we will need it though, given we will be leaving for the haven shortly after that point..."
"Exactly. That is why I have been prioritising it." Leaning gently against Dr Elune's shoulder, Alex smiled up at them.
Raising an eyebrow, the docter giggled and hugged Alkex gently, "Anything else, or did you just want to bug me first thing?"
"I just wanted to bug you." Grinning cheekily, Alex hid against the doctor, to try, unsuccessfully, to prevent a noogie. "There is one last thing, though."

"Go on...?"
"See... I just finished chatting with Ren. He is calling in one of his favours."
"Don't tell me he wants to go to Mars after our little negotiations with the government."
"... not that I know of. I would suggest packing extra, just in case." Smirking slightly, Alex stretched out a bit more, "It was a different favour. He handed over to me a schematic for an AHOR unit..."
"That all? He does have team members missing limbs."
"... Am android AHOR unit. The designs were meticulously detailed, to boot."
"... That's just weird." Leaning forward, Dr Elune thought as Alex flopped down onto their lap instead. "Well, I have every reason to say yes. Get Laura started on it, and hand it over to Ren once it is done and tested."
"Sure, except one thing... He asked me not to ever go into this unit."
Looking down at Alex, Dr Elune watched them shrug, "Okay, now I'm curious. We need to have a nice, long chat with our dear friend Ren later."
"He should be in the garden in around an hour. And again ten hours later."
"... I can't be bothered quite yet. Remind me in nine hours."
"Yes, doctor." Alex turned to a drone, which had brought over a fresh set of clothes, "Shall we get started on today's tests?"
Sighing, Dr Elune took the pile, nodding, "Today is going to be a long day..."
