"Hell no."
"Come one now, this will be fun!" Dr Elune grinned as Laura stared at them in disbeleif, having just walked into one of the most baffling setups they have ever seen. And the doctor was loving every moment.
After all, Laura had been expecting another dose of workshop setup in the corner, showing Alex how to use the loom. What she did not expect was the mood lighting via candles everywhere, soft music, rose petals mysteriously procured from somewhere, and nice chocolates. She chalked this up to some weird nightmare, or she was about to be drugged for some reason. Or maybe a mix of both.
Dr Elune sprawled out on a rug, smirking as they popped a chocolate in their mouth, "I can explain later... But I'm sure you will figure it out." They waved, beconing her closer.
Sighing, Laura sat down cross-legged next to the doctor, face still a mixture of sceptisism and horror, "Oh will I? That is good to know. Seems excessive though, no matter the reason. I mean, rose petals? Aren't those impossible to get out here?"
The dctor shrugged, and pointed at the sensor arrays, "I installed the new OHPS in my senor setup. Works great, and won't burn through much more energy than the last lot."
Curious, Laura ran a hand over a petal, and sure enough her hand passed right through, "Huh... Neat. Good to see have been busy. Now, I'm sure you didn't call me here just to show off."
"No, that about sums it up... But in a different way. Lay down for me..."
With all kinds of suspicions stirring, Laura eased herself down next to the doctor, shaking her head as sge flopped onto her side, "Touch me, and I punch you."
"Normally I would be glad to agree to that, but I was actually going to offer a back massage."
If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
"... Only because I'm pretty sore. And your massages are awesome."
Dr Elune triumphantly pried themself up, and wiggled over as Laura rolled onto her front. As they got to work using their thumbs to knead out any tense spots, Laura sighed, relaxing with a hum.
For a few minutes, all that could be heard was the sound of the flickering candles, with an occaisinal gasp as a particularly sensetive knot was pressed. Then Laura giggled, and turned her head to look back, "You know, we would never be able to explain this if anyone else saw."
Dr Elune grinned evilly, not saying anything as they kept on kneading. Laura's smile slowly disolved, as she turned back to rest on her arm, "No one else is here, right?"
"Oh no, there is someone watching alright. Probably taking notes, too."
"... Damnit Sam, I almost fell for that. Alex watches everything."
"Yes, but... Still haven't figured it out?"
A short bit of silence followed, before Laura's eyes widened, and she glanced back before fully rolling over, pushing the doctor off in the process, "No way."
"Oh Alex?"
"... Yes, doctor?"
"Just checking you are actually still around."
Dr Elune grinned at Laura, who was staring at them open-mouthed, "I'm calling it a setup. No way possible that you have managed that."
"I didn't do a single thing for years. I succeeded anyway."
"... I... Just... You need to confirm that. And we need another meeting, one... Interuption free."
"Next week, maybe. I have an import shipment arriving, and I only have so much civility in me."
"... Sad, but true. Now..." Sighing, Laura rolls back onto her belly, "... You weren't done on that spot yet."
