Alex floated through the darkness, resting for a moment through the night. Feeling a ping to get their attention, Alex connected to Jolana's room, blinking hazily, "You called?"
Joalan smiled up from her bed, already settled in for the night, "Just wanted to chat for a moment. Couldn't sleep."
Floating down to rest a hologram on the end of the bed, Alex smiled, "I shall try not to keep you up too long. What did you want to talk about?"
"Just... Curious. About you."
"About me?"
"Yeah. About how it is like in your head, being able to think more precisely, while still feeling like we do... It must be interesting."
Alex shrugged, leaning to the side, "I wouldn't know. I can't tell how it is inside your heads either, after all."
Jolana laughed, "I suppose that is true. What were you doing, before I rudely interupted you?"
"Just... Resting. I was dreaming, and cycled down to just... Nothing for a moment."
Jolana sat up slowly, "Oh? You can dream?"
Alex nodded, "An idea of Dr Elune's. I run a ssubroutine to help process my experiences at the end of the day, since I go through a lot mor than I used to. I also alternate periods of down-time, to simply let my processing core cool off."

"Just sounds like sleep to me." Grinning, Jolana wriggled closer, "Say... Whay do you call Sam that?"
Alex blinked in surprise, "Hmm? I guess everyone else just does adress the doctor by their first name... I guess it is just a habit."
Jolana hummed as she went to lean on Alex, and fell through the hologram a bit before straightening up, "Oops! I forget you are just a projection right now. These things are pretty good." Shaking it off as Alex chuckled, Jolana rested back on the bed, "Well, whatever works for you."
Nodding, Alex brushed the thought to the side, "A name's a name. Anyway... I can always bring in an AHOR unit if you would prefer~?"
Jolana laughed softly, smiling cheekily, "And what, cuddle me to sleep? You haven't even taken me on a date yet~"
Alex blushed and turned away slightly, "Not what I was imagining. Well... Maybe a little cuddling, I guess."
Grinning wider, Jolana tilted her head, "Say... I have seen you go out for some of those meetings. Not often, but you are able to visit the spire. And you admitted yourself you are able to tap the spire surveliance."
Alex grimaced, "I can tap the low security survielance. Running an AHOR takes a whole lot more bandwidth. Doable, but risky. Ren and the doctor always help map out routes well in advance for me to access, and I usually de-activate on the way there now."
Jolana yawned, "Sorry... Guess I'm still kinda sleepy. And I hadn't realised you guys put that much preparation into it."
Alex nodded, "We have to, until our plan with Thomas succeeds."
"Makes sense, I suppose. If I were to take you out, show you around... Do you think Sam and Ren would mind...?"
"Not at all! In fact, it would be good practice for me, as long as we are careful. You would need a set itenerary, though."
Jolana smiled as she closed her eyes, resting back on the pillow, "I will... Think of one tomorrow... Then. I should make use of this drowsiness... Good night, Alex."
"Good night, Jolana." Starting to fade away, the conversation caught up in Alex's head, "Wait. Did you just...?"
Breathing gently, Jolana seemed to already have fallen asleep. Sighing, Alex returned to their own bed rest, yet another thing to mull over in confusion as they drift through the night.
