Dr Elune groaned as they pried themself out of bed. Glancing around, one of the Alexes was already out for the day, the other unit dormant in it's maintenance cradle. Wandering over, Dr Elune gave the unit a gentle prod.
Getting no reaction, the doctor settled into their computer chair instead, blinking at the black screen.
"Huh. Been a while since I had nothing to do." Turning on the computer, the doctor contimplated. There wasn't much work they could do on the AHOR project any more... And Laura wasn't exactly available to chat. Between updates on the various projects, tending to Alex and the AHOR improvements, and all of the press meetings, the doctor had been run off their feet... And now, all of those had died down. Simultaniously.
Cycling through a list of games the doctor had been meaning to get to, the doctor sighed, not feeling in the mood. Looking up, they stretched out, "Alex! You around?"
After a moment, a mini-Alex appeared on Dr Elune's desk, flickering from the projectors, "Yes, doctor? You called?"
"Cute." Grinning, the doctor continued, "I'm finding myself with an over abundance of time, and I have a presentation to give Thomas soon. You able to run the vr sims today?"
Alex nodded with a smile, "I am. Mostly doing scheduling and sorting through our supplies, so I ahve plenty of preccing to spare."
Getting up with a groan, the doctor rummaged around for some clothes, "Guess I need to be presentable, then. Feel free to invite others, a lot of the tests will be more technical."
Alex nodded, flickering back out of existance, "Sure thing. Let me know if you need anything."
Waving them of, the doctor found a mostly servicable coat, and slipped it on.
Settling in to the chair, Dr Elune smiled as Jolana and Ren entered the room, "Glad you could make it. Mostly just going to muck around, so you guys have any ideas?"
Jolana nodded eagerly, "Particle physics! I'm going to try and go nuclear."
Ren chuckled, "Have fun with that. Supposing the sims are accurate, I have some trial peices to run for Judith."
Alex huffed, "They are plenty accurate... Except for biology. Still learning that."
Smirking, the doctor slipped on their helmet, "Glad to see you all getting along. See you inside."
Going through the quick recalibration, Dr Elune soon found themself in the standard white room, only to find Alex standing in front of a door. "Hello, doctor."
"... Hello Alex. The door is new."
"Yes. Considering the, uh, surprise from Jolana last time, I thought of a better system. Each person gets a seperate isolated login room, which they can join on mutual request. Also, You can hop in to any active sim, such as the one behind me. It is running the 4th haven sim."

The doctor blinked, "Uh... Fair enough. That works." Fiddling with their settings, Dr Elune shrugged, "Open up my room until I leave, then. I shoudln't be long though. You should label the doors, and make a corridor if there are many. I expect our user base will fluctuate."
Nodding, Alex glanced at the door frame, a nameplate appearing above it, "Done and done. I will see you inside." Fading through the door, Alex waved goodbye.
Humming as they finished tweaking their control sensetivity, permissions, and appearance, the doctor calmly strode through the awaiting doorway. After a breif dip into numbness, the doctor faded in to a random street in the spire, glancing around, "Neat."
"It is actually pretty fascinating~" Waving, Jolana stepped out from a nearby shop, "I have actually been here, and this is fairly accurate."
Alex giggled as they floated past overhead, "I have kept an eye out on any public feeds, if I get bored. Some areas are blank, behind locked doors. Others might be outdated. I try my best, though."
The doctor looked up, "... Why, though? You could sim anything."
Alex shrugged, perching on a streetsing, "To be competitive, I guess. Since it is something people can validate, it encourages me to be more attentive."
Jolana nodded approvingly, before wandering off throught the streets, summoning some enlarged particale simulations in front of her as she wanders. Following after, the doctor made a simple wooden puzzle in front of them.
Alex looked down, confused, "Uhh... Doctor? Puzzles aren't as fun when you also have to imagine the solution first."
Dr Elune chuckled, "Correct... But this is more for my coordination. Try reducing the interperetation on my inputs. I want to get the calibration process strengthened, so we don't need an evolved AI all the time."
Alex nodded with a giggle, and stopped filling in some of the blanks with the doctor's movements. Which emmediately made them stumble and fall.
Grimacing more from the raucious laughter from Alex than from the fall, the doctor very carefully walked along, focusing on each action so it ws correctly registered.
Jolana humming merrily as she toyed wuth the simulation's capabilities, the Doctor growling from frustration as the tried to readjust to the system, the merry little band continued down the steets, Ren simply watching from his login room as he chatted with them, doing some prototyping of his own.
