Jace continued with his training and schedule for another month. Unexpectedly he did not level up this month though because he was running into a problem finding game he could hunt. He noticed that there was very little fish in the pond and when he walked around the woods he couldn't hear anything moving.

The DSC's championship match ended once again with a match of Bill Hill against Tyler Maxus. It turned out the kids at the competition were no match for Bill and Tyler. In the championship match Tyler once again was beaten, but everyone saw that he had grown.

This growth had made the match very entertaining and they became sensations. To Jace however it just was a measuring bar for him to get stronger.Towards the end of the month in the middle of the week.

Jace was on his way home and calculated that he had 6 months remaining until the invasion. . "Ding, disease The Base has mutated in incubation." Jace jumps like usual and pulls up his disease interface to inspect the new development.

Jace staring at the disease already starts running through his head how good this development is. 'This is an amazing base for whatever disease I want to add to it. Eventually it would just shred through protection against it like nothing, and I bet there would be a lot when we get invaded'.

Jace then starts thinking about how this mutation could have happened. 'I used it till there were very few left then through it in incubation. However I have done this before so it must be rare or new either way I am happy'.

Jace arrives home to see the supplies for the safe house had finally come in. Jace then moves them into a safe place to begin training as well as get started on his safe house.

Jace finishes his training before looking around for the perfect place. Jace then finds an opening in the trees where he finds a massive tree in the forest. Jace then looks down to see massive roots thinking 'This place looks good and there is a little slope so that rain would drain'.

Jace then gets to work digging and using his exploding hex to speed up the process when he could. After around an hour Jace goes back home to get to dinner and regain his mana. This process of digging out the tree roots and making it covered so that you would not know it was there unless you knew of its existence took another month.

After it was finished Jace had a 4 feet deep by 3 feet long hole under the tree. While digging Jace realized that this level of building under a normal tree would not be possible. Also, during this time Jace noticed that the tree had seemed to grow noticeably bigger which allowed him to make his safe house. Jace then has a theory and goes to test it in his safe house.

'What if the tree somehow was able to obtain mana. I was using a lot of exploding hexes under it'. Jace arriving at his safe house begins to collect mana. As he enters the state he sees a concentration all around him.

Jace then searches and finds one of the tree roots which he can see is infuzed with mana. As Jace is seeing this root he notices that at the same time the tree is collecting mana it is also growing. This reminds Jace about an idea that he had seen before but forgot about.

'I need to learn to collect mana passively while doing other things'. Jace also realizes that instead of taking 7 minutes to collect mana it instead takes 5 and it also collects 2 points at a time instead of one.

'This is very good, I would be able to practice my everything so much more and easier'. Jace, still sitting in the safe house, begins to try to collect the mana while opening his eyes. Jace fails miserably but continues trying and gets it after 2 hours.

After Jace completes his training for that day he heads in to see the news. "Our story tonight, scientists finding extreme growth on plants and animals. To you Jeff."

"Thanks, Yes scientists are saying in an interview today that plants and animals have been growing at extreme speed. They say that they worry that this growth could happen to bacteria causing disease to run rampant and uncontrolled as well as become highly dangerous. They believe that the appearance of the supernatural children may be the cause."

"Thank you Jeff." Jace walks away after the news reporters move on to a new story with one thought in his mind. 'That probably means more xp I can earn, which is pretty messed up, but what can I do it is true'.
