Jace is sitting in the middle of the safe house, begins creating the disease core. Before Jace starts creating he tells Reaper "Keep watch for me." Jace then finishes creating the disease core and enters the black room. After Jace arrives he grabs all the symptoms of the Splitter V3 and attaches it to the new disease core.
Jace while doing this sees that there is a sphere on the symptom branch, that makes the mana in your body start to mutate and break apart your bones slowly. 'That sphere must be a connector showing where I connected the symptoms last time to increase its effect'.
Jace completes putting in all the symptoms to the new core, and immediately goes over to Splitter V2 and grabs the symptom that makes the mana in your body start to mutate and break apart your bones slowly. After Jace has the symptom he does what he did last time and attached it to the end of the same symptom on the new disease core.
It once again connects and makes the symptom branch even larger.'Good that still works like last time and there was no rejection or instability'. Jace then walks back over to Splitter V2 and grabs both of the other symptom branches that lowers immunity of infected by 1.5% and increases spread of disease in the body by 1%.
Jace then also attached these to the disease and realizes too late that this was an awful mistake. As soon as the 2 symptoms connected to the branches on the new disease core it becomes incredibly unstable. Before Jace can even process this he hears a "Crack."
Jace then sees the disease core before him crack in half. This was followed by the brightest white he had ever seen fill his vision as well as a "Boom" that he thought broke his ear drums. Jace then feels his consciousness pulled from the room to which wakes up to find himself laying on his back in the safe house.
Jace then sits up and starts coughing up blood. After this finishes he feels the worst headache he has ever experienced. 'It feels like my head is being drilled into as well as someone using a jackhammer on my brain'.
Jace also feels that he can barely move and that he would black out at almost any second. 'It feels like what happened when I used too much mana'. Jace, thinking this, decides to check his mana and sees his guess was correct as well as something else surprising. His mana was at 1/220 and his health was at 150/220.
'Man that core exsplotion destroyed my mana and my health as well. But I do wonder how much my health is affected by my current injuries though? I did forget to check my health before now so it doesn't matter'.
Jace then decides that he would just stay where he was and sleep there, laying back down. As Jace made that decision Reaper flies into the safe house after hearing Jace cough. When Reaper enters and sees blood as well as Jace laying on the ground he freaks out.

Reaper starts chirping non stop and goes right next to Jace's face. This makes Jace open his eyes which calms Reaper down a bit but he still continues chirping. Jace then says "Calm down and please be quiet! I am fine, I just made a little mistake. The best thing now is for you to leave me alone so that I can sleep and recover."
This finally makes Reaper stop much to Jace's happiness. The two then go to bed with Reaper ending up sleeping on Jace's forehead. The next morning Jace wakes up feeling much better but he finds he has something covering his eyes.
Jace reaches up and finds Reaper who wakes up and starts chirping about breakfast while flying to a different perch. Jace then starts thinking while preparing breakfast. 'Why did the disease core explode last night? I know it must have something to do with the connection but what exactly? Was it the fact I connected 2 at once or that I had more than one branch with connections?'.
While thinking, Jace decides that asking the system might be his best shot. 'Hey, do you know why the disease core exploded last night?'. To Jace's surprise he got the answer he was looking for. "Ding, it was because the user had too low of level of disease creation. The disease creation was not able to support that many connections of symptoms."
Jace hearing the news now understood more but had more questions for the system. 'If leveling up the abilities changes something, why doesn't it tell me on the ability descriptions? Also, how many connections does disease creation support right now?'.
To his questions Jace got the usual answer of silence which he then sighed. But then "Ding, Disease Creation can support 3 connections for a disease currently." Jace, hearing this was ecstatic and also decided to check something.
'I think the level of Disease Creation is level 3, if so, I bet the level controls how many connections a disease could have'. Jace's theory turned out to be correct when he checked his status and saw level 3 next to Disease Creation. 'Looks like my theory was correct. So that means my problem was last night I had four connections. Two connections for the symptom to mutate your mana and another one connection each for the other two symptoms. Also, I wonder what all my other abilities gained when they leveled up?'.
As Jace was going to ask the system he was startled by Reaper who was mad that he hadn't gotten his breakfast yet. Jace then laughs and while eating breakfast askes the system his question about the other abilities levels but gets no response.
After that he moves on and decides to change his plan that he made at the demon base yesterday with his new information. 'I can't really think of any hexes or curses that I need to create right now. The best bet would be to upgrade my diseases to the max that I can right now. What I can do is upgrade Splitter V3 into Splitter V4 then I can focus on upgrading The Base disease. That way I can infect everyone first with the upgraded The Base. Then after they have all been infected by that they will be weaker so that when I infect them with Splitter V4, it can wreak havoc on the demon base. But to do that I need mana, so I know what I will be doing today'.
Jace and Reaper decide to then spend a peaceful and relaxing day at the safe house which was the first one they had in a little while.
