Every person and demon that was fighting at the DSC school stopped when they heard a sound. The sound was one that they all already knew and had heard before.
It was the call from the demon camp and meant that all of the demons would probably retreat back again. Hearing this the Captain starts cursing and yells " "I should have known! Why am I so stupid!?"
Everyone then watches as all of the demon's machines that were functional turned around and ran along with any demons that had fallen off and survived.
After the demons had left the range of their attacks the Captain starts to inspect all of the damage that they had sustained. They had lost around a quarter of their vehicles and around 50 soldiers.
There were many injured soldiers and damaged vehicles as well. The Captain, finishing his inspection, hands off giving orders to Charlie and goes into his office. When he arrives he says to himself "I should have known it was going to be another test by those demons."
From here the Captain sits down and starts planning his next move. When he finishes he nods to himself and calls for Charlie for another opinion on it.
At the demon base the Defense head is freaking out. He was doing his patrol rounds after the Chief left when suddenly there was yelling.
He ran over to see something that made him stop and stare in shock. The medical tent was on fire as well as their biggest and main stockpile of wood. Then the Defense head turns his head to see demons that were on the ground with the objects sticking out of them.
This makes the Defense head freak out even more, but he snaps out of it and starts ordering people. The Defense head gets everyone in position to start defending against an attack and put out the fires.
As the Defense head wasn't as good as the Chief at dealing with his current situation these orders came slightly too late to save everything. When the fires were done and settled, the medical tent had burned down along with most of the stockpile.
The Defense head then kept everyone on high alert against an attack for what seemed like hours to everyone but was around 15 minutes. This was because the Investigation head was out and the other demons couldn't find the evidence that the attacker left as quickly as the Investigation head and his men.
After the orders to be on high alert were stopped and everyone went back to work. The Defense head called in the Medical head and the aid into the Chiefs tent. When they got into the tent they saw the Defense head pacing back and forth while muttering to himself.

The aid then looks at the medical head before turning to the Defense head and saying "We are here to report, Defense head".
The Defense head stops and turns to them before saying "Yes? Sorry I was thinking of other things, let's hear the reports."
The aid starts first with their report "We have sustained damages to our main stockpile as well as the medical tent, but I will let the Medical head report on that. After adding up all the damages we have lost around 60 percent of our stockpile. The time to recollect enough material to replace the amount we lost will take around 3-4 night cycles. Also, regarding the investigation of the attacker, it is the same one that the Chief is looking for. It appears that the attacker slipped past the Chief. That is all."
The Defense head nods and says "Would you make an announcement that there will be a base meeting tonight." The aid walks out saying "Yes, I will make the announcement."
The Defense head then turns to the Medical head and says "Your report?"
The Medical head nods "As the aid stated we have sustained damages to the medical tent. These damages are very severe as we have lost 90 percent of everything in the tent. Additionally, out of the 5 men that were in the tent, we were able to save only 3. During the attack 2 demons were injured by the attackers weapons and many more by fires. We now need a place to move our operations to, so where would you like to put us until a new tent is built?"
The Defense head thinks for a minute before saying "Move your operations into my tent for now."
The Medical head nods and asks before leaving "Would you like me to contact the main base for medical supplies or will you?"
The Defense head thinks for a second and responds "You can contact them it as you know exactly what you need."
After the Medical head leaves the Defense head goes back to his pacing. After a few minutes of this he has a thought and writes down on a piece of paper that the Medical head and aid didn't see.
The Defense head then says to himself "Yes, this will work."
Jace while walking back to his safe house when he got notified of the effect of his attack "Ding killed two, one horned demon xp gained 400. Due to the title effect xp increased to 480."
Jace nods to himself 'Looks like they still die when they burn in fire." Jace then continues on his journey back, but while being wary of any demons in the woods.
When Jace arrives close to his safe house he sends out his Reaper to do an inspection of the nearby area. After waiting for a few minutes Reaper gives the chirp that the cost is clear and Jace arrives safely into his safe house.
Jace then thinks about what he can train while keeping himself the most safe. 'I don't think I can train branch jumping as I would be an easy target. There is Way of the Raptor, but once again I need to have something to grapple onto for the full effect and I would be in the open. Looks like Way of 1,000 Blades is my best option to train'.
Jace, when he is grabbing his throwing knives, remembers to put a hex on it and sets a stopwatch to keep track of how long it will take for the hex to disappear. After this Jace begins his training which he is trying to make the mana tethers as fast as possible.
'If I can make them fast, then I will be able to use my grapple to move easier in the fight'. Jace then continues this training until sunset where he debates his earlier decision on what he should create.
