The Soldier with the sniper fires the second of his 3 shots. Everyone watched in anticipation, but the demons machines continued coming. The soldier did not know where the drivers were in the machine bunkers, leading to the shots missing.
The demons finally passed the threshold and were met with the DSC’s machines. At this point the soldier had grabbed the other gun and had started shooting the bikers. Everyone on the roof watched as combat continued for a long 20 minutes. In that time the DSC suffered more damage than they ever had before. After the demons were left with only the bunkers, did the demon camp produce the sound.
The Captain watches the demons heading back while taking a view of their damages. They had lost another one fourth of their vehicles, but had lost even more soldiers. The soldier that was on the roof decided that he would take another shot with his sniper. He took the shot and startled everyone else on the roof. “What in the world are you doing?!!” The Captain yelled at the soldier.
“Did I tell you to fire?!” At this time Charlie taps the Captain's shoulder pointing. “What is it?”
The Captain sees that Charlie was pointing at a stopped demon bunker. The Captain has a flash in his eyes “Well, look at that. You.” The Captain pointed at the soldier with the sniper “I need a report on were you targeted that bunker. Understood?”
The soldier nods and is followed by the other as they left. The Captain turns to Charlie “Take care of the aftermath for me. I need to go meet with those kids.” Charle nods walking out “Yes, Captain.” The Captain takes one more look at the demon camp before following Charlie down.
At the demon base the Chief is led by the Defense head to a few demons. The Investigation head states “Tell the Chief what you told me.” The demons were a little hesitant until one says “Before the attack, we all saw an object in the air above the base, Chief.”
The Investigation head nods “Good, you are all now good to go.” The Chief waits until they are out of the area asking “What am I supposed to do with that? There is about a hundred things that fly on this planet.” The Investigation head responds “Now that we know about the flying object, we wait until we get attacked again. From there we follow this flying object to its owner.”
The Chief nods “Perfect, now get your squad to help with the medical tent, we need all hands on deck.” The Investigation head responds “Will do Chief”
The Chief then mutters “I will kill you soon.” He then arrives at the medical tent meeting the Medical head. “Give me an injury report.” “We have many blast injuries and no disease injuries. At the moment the number is unknown, but I expect it to be very high, Chief.”
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
The Chief nods “I see, report back when everything is done.” The Medical head nods rushing to the next patient as the Chief moves on to his next duty.
Jace arrives home and starts training his Way of the Raptor. ‘I need to unlock the next page as soon as possible to kill whatever made that shout’. Jace continues until sundown when he eats more wolf meat and sits in the middle of the safe house. “Well Reaper you know the drill. I will be back soon.” Jace activates the mana and hears the notification he hasn’t heard in a long time. “Ding, user connected mana to Disease spell creation giving insight.”
Jace finds himself in the familiar room with the box. The box starts projecting and out comes the God of Abnormalities booming voice. “Hello, Jace. I am sure you know how the projection box works at this point so I will start right away. The first step to Disease spell creation is much like the others figuring out what you want your spell to do. With Disease Blade, what I wanted to do is coat my weapon in a disease.”
The projection flashes “The second step is identifying how you will use mana to move the disease to gain the desired effect. This step is much like creating the formula for hex creation and is very crucial to creating the spell. For Disease Blade I used mana to move the disease to the blade coating it. Note that it can be much more complicated than Disease Blade, and that it is just an example.”
During this instruction Jace sees a copy of what he sees when he performs Disease Blade. The projection flashes again, but still kept the same image of the disease moving onto the blade. “The third step is actually performing the spell with a disease you have in storage but not completing it fully. This step is equivalent to drawing and controlling the hex formula. Step 3.5 is that during the performing of the spell you should be imputing the effect you want at the same time.”
Jace sees the projection flash to the next instruction thinking ‘This is going a lot faster than all the others’. The God of Abnormalities answers Jace's thoughts, surprising Jace a little. “We have finally arrived at the fourth and final step. I know that it may seem like I am going a little faster than before. That is the case as you have already heard much of the explanations, so I can just compare steps to things that you have already done before. Now back to the fourth step. As you are about to complete your spell while putting in the desired effect you need to deactivate your immunity to the disease. This will allow the spell and mana to gain complete control of the disease and allow the disease to pass from you to complete your desired effect. I know this sounds confusing that you need to deactivate your immunity, so I will explain how your immunity works. It is 2 layers with a space in between, in that space is where the diseases are kept. These layers keep the disease from affecting you and from getting out and infecting something else. That is why even in Disease Blade your immunity on your hand disappears to allow the diseases to get out. So like I said before, as you complete your spell deactivate your immunity by feeling the layer you want to break and with your mind open a hole. This will allow you to complete the spell completely so the next time it opens the path in your immunity for you. That is all for the instructions and I hope you continue to grow and become stronger.”
Jace nods to the projection and starts preparing.
