Another month had passed, Jace was still training and growing stronger. He was halfway to his next level up, he was progressing with the techniques given by the God, also during the month he had gained another skill as well as contracted a new disease. The skill he had gained was Throwing Knife mastery and the disease he contracted was the Stomach Flu.

-10% increase in damage done with throwing knives

-10% increase in penetrating power with throwing knives

Symptom 1: Increases chance of diarrhea by 25%

Symptom 2: Creates feeling of nausea

Spread: Transfers through touch and consumption with a 25% infection rate.

Jace had just gotten home after school saying hi to his parents that were in the living room watching TV. "Come back before 7:00, the first match of the DSC championship is at 7:30" His dad yelled as Jace was heading outside. "Ok, sounds good" Jace yells back.

Jace arriving in the woods pulls out his karambits 'today is going to be the day I will unlock the second page of The Way of the Raptor and The Way of 1,000 Blades'. That week Jace had started to feel the feeling he felt when he earned his mastery skills.

Jace arrives at a tree stump that he had blown the top off on. Jace positions himself in front of it, karambits in hand and starts applying mana to the blades. The way the diagram showed to apply the mana was like a sheath with a spring ready to push it off. It then showed when the blade enters the target the mana shoots off causing havoc.

Jace had also found that he could attach Disease Blade to this mana and when it shot off it carried the Disease Blade with it. Jace finishes applying mana to his knives he readies the mana in his feet and legs.

When Jace first saw the model he thought that doing all this would consume his mana. Jace learned that if the mana stays in his body and if it is attached to his blades in his hands then mana is not consumed.

As soon as it leaves his body or blades then the mana is consumed. Jace finishes preparing the mana in the balls of his feet and in his legs. "Bang" Jace pushed off the ground, at the same time pushing mana off his feet and legs.

This made a crater in the ground and sent Jace at a speed barely caught by the eye. When he arrived at the stump he swung down with his arms. Jace like the diagram showed when his blades connected with the stump he let his mana shoot off like a spring. "Crack" the stump split into thirds and had Jace standing before it.

Jace however did not hear a notification like he wanted so after checking the time he decided to try again. This time however he did not have a stump that he could use so he decided to use a massive tree that Jace couldn't fit his arms around. After he prepares he repeats all the steps from before.

When his knives hit the tree this time though it does not split the tree. What happens is the mana acts like an extension of the knives and Jace feels the support of 2 knives stuck in the tree latching him to it.

Jace then hears the notification he had been working for over the past month. "Ding, skill earned Way of the Raptor." Jace opens up his status and inspects his new skill.

Jace stands there happily 'Yes, Yes, Yes'. Before opening and going to the next page of the Way of the Raptor he starts to prepare for the Way of 1,000 Blades.

'I still remember the feeling of understanding I don't want to lose it'. Jace then starts layering his mana on his throwing knife after he gets it out. Jace finishes layering the mana on the throwing knife. The way the diagram showed to layer the mana was to make it like a cone on the front of the knife.

This would make it so that the throwing knife would have no air resistance and it would also have higher piercing power. Jace then starts to make the tether. The tether was very important to not just the technique to control the knife but also to keep the cone from breaking.

Jace finished making the tether which was about a half inch thick. Jace takes aim at the cut he made earlier with his karambit and takes aim. As Jace is about to throw he hears a crack of a twig behind him. Jace whipped around to see a massive deer with 8 points on its antlers.

Jace prepares to throw again this time aiming at the deer. As Jace is letting go of his knife the deer gets spooked and runs away which causes Jace to miss. Jace then watches his knife stick into the ground and prepares to pull it back towards him.

As Jace is getting ready to pull the tether he remembers the feeling of understanding of what the technique was meant to do. As Jace pulls the deer comes back once again scaring Jace and causing him to pull the blade to him and then pull it in another direction.

This causes Jace to hear the notification he had been waiting for as well as cause him confusion. "Ding, skill earned Way of 1,000 Blades."
