Jace sits in darkness after waking up covered in sweat and training hears a notification. "Ding, Skill Way of 1,000 Blades has leveled up." Jace mutters to himself "Finally all that hard work paid off."

Jace then passed out from the combined tiredness and mana usage. Jace bolts up the next day as something hits his head. Jace snaps to Reaper who is chirping while pointing at the cans he got out.

"I got it bud." Jace gets up and feeds the mini pile driver. Jace then opens his status to check to see if what happened last night was a dream. 'Guess I wasn't dreaming'.

Jace nods to himself and tries it out. He is able to perform the grapple smoothly and with more control than he ever had.

'Looks like moving through the trees will be easier than ever'. Jace then opens up the technique library and opens the book, flipping to the new page. This time the model was intriguing to Jace.

All it showed was to create thicker tethers the size of arms. Jace immediately starts to try this out. Jace makes the tether, but soon realizes that this is harder than he thought as the tether shatters.

Jace stops his experimenting as he has other and more important things to do.

At the demon base the Chief takes in the true sight of the damage done by Jace. almost every piece of wood that stood as a wall had disappeared.

There were around 5 that were still standing and those even had some burn marks. The new aid arrived as he finished looking around. "Chief, I have the report."

The Chief nods "Alright, let's hear it." "At the moment, we have lost 99% of our perimeter wall. At our current pace full repairs would take around a full month, if we have all of the wood stockpiled. Unfortunately, our current stock pile is not enough to replace the damage caused, so it is expected to take longer at around a month and a half. Also, the Defense head told me to tell you that he is testing new directions in place to put out fires, which will happen after lunch. That is all, Chief."

The Chief continues staring replying "Alright, you are good to go."

When the aid was out of range the Investigation head arrived beside him. "I have still found nothing. The test of the old Defense head came up short so we are investigating the perimeter where the fire started, Chief."

The Chief nods, saying to the Investigation head "I really wish I could sense his mana, but it must be too small for me to sense through the forest interference."

The Investigation head replies, not knowing what to say with "I see. I will be off, Chief." The Chief gives a hand signal walking to the medical tent. When he arrives all he says is "Show me the dead Defense head."

At this point Jace had started preparing for his next plan of attack on the demon base as he was close. 'My goal is to kill as many as possible as well as disrupt there medical tent once again'. At this point Jace finished drawing the exploding hex on the throwing knife.

He adds this to the string of a few throwing knives he had. When he arrives close to base, he gives the string with the knives to Reaper, as well as activating the Cloak of Nothing. He flips down the hood asking "You know what you are doing right?" Reaper chirps while flying away.

When Jace gets into position he gives a signal to Reaper who drops the knives. Using his tethers that he attached he controlled all of them to land to their specific places. When they did, Jace had a smile on his face.

He activates them hearing the chorus of explosions all around him. He hears a notification but isn't listening as he is climbing. When he starts running he hears the sound of a massive shout. Then the sound of the earth cracking.

Jace however doesn't look back, but starts running even faster. When he gets a good distance away and his cloak wears off, he and Reaper reunite, continuing home.

As the Chief was finishing inspecting the dead Defense head's body, he heard the explosion outside. When he runs out he sees the aftermath with all of the demons lying around. He then hears the yelling from the medical tent as it was on fire. The Chief shouts "Everyone get down!!"

The Chief throws a punch with a massive shock wave that cracks the ground. This shock wave was enough to put out the fire and save the medical tent. The Chief then starts yelling at the medical team "Get out here! We have men that are severely injured!"

As the medical team was running out, the Chief started running to the forest edge. When he arrived he found nothing, but was soon joined by the Investigation head.

"What is it?" The Investigation head answered "We believe we have found something." The Chief smiles "Take me to it."

At the DSC school with the Captain things were going less great than before. The attackers had adapted to their new fighting methods.

This time the bikes were hidden behind the moving forts. The Captain was currently running down to the room. When he arrived he yells "I want armor piercing shells. Now!!!"

This sets everyone into a frenzy trying to create a few. After some time the captain was running back up with Charlie and another soldier in tow holding a massive sniper. When they arrived the attackers were arriving at their first fence.

The soldier receives the gun and quickly loads the bullets. He then aims and fires as the engines of the machines down below start and the demons pass over the second fence. Everyone hears the gunshot and waits as another goes off.
