Jace sees the destroyed and burning save zone while standing in shock. Jace then walks in a daze through the save zone. After a minute of walking he arrives at the medical building that was a mass of concrete rubble. As Jace continues walking he steps on something.

When he looks down he hurls. Below him was one of the bodies that had been split in half by the Chief and Investigation head. Jace, recovering himself, continues walking only to arrive behind the massive school building where he met Bob.

When he does he once again stops in place. Behind the school were massive fires that were burning bodies and everything else that wasn't concrete. After seeing this Jace fell to his knees as emotions of anger and loss that were locked away behind thoughts of survival came out.

This broke Jace's young 14 year old mind completely. 'Was this what happened to my parents? Did they die an awful death while trying to escape? Why did this happen to the people here? They were alive, and living. Why? Was it because of me? Was it because I didn't kill the demons fast enough?'.

Jace couldn't overcome seeing this level of death and destruction to people he knew directly in front of him. Every time he had seen destruction before, it was the demons being destroyed or it had appeared that there were no humans there.

As Jace was breaking down and his anger was building to a new high. Another entity was alerted and came to observe his brain and watch his negative emotions.

So in Jaces subconscious the entity was saying to himself "Yes, feel the anger, the revenge, feel it all."

After Jace finished his interrogation of his own brain he came to a conclusion. 'I know why this happened. Those demons. They did this. So they shall pay'.

Jace gets back up from his knees with an anger that he had never experienced before. After Jace made this silent vow the entity smiled and unknown to Jace, with the help of the entity his rage turned his eyes scarlet red.

The entity thought "Good, actually even better than I expected coming from his successor." Jace stands up, wipes his tears and puts on a face of no emotion. He then does one more inspection of the safe zone for anything he can use, before turning around immediately.

'If I can catch up to those demons, then I might be able to do something'. As Jace had started running it also started raining. 'Well, doesn't that just fit perfectly for a day like today'.

Back at the demon base the Defense head was once again out inspecting everything with the aid. "How long do you expect everything to take?"

The aid responds "It is expected for everything to be finished by nightfall."

The Defense head nods as he arrives at the next working station. As he does, a demon falls to the ground screaming. Everyone rushes over just for 2 more to follow after the first. When the Defense head and aid arrive they see the problem immediately.

The Defense head curses "I thought I had them quarantined in their own section! Aid what happened?" The aid shrugs to which the Defense head looks back to the men that had already died.

The Defense head stood up saying "Go get the Medical head." The aid nods and runs off, leaving the Defense head standing there to take care of the situation.

"Everyone here must go to the medical tent now!!"

All of the demons immediately start moving. After some waiting the aid arrives back with the Medical head. The Defense and Medical head have a stair down until the Defense head breaks and looks away.

The Medical head with a smirk gets to work investigating. Getting back up after finishing he says to the Defense head "Way to go, because of your stupidity we have a massive problem."

The Defense head was confused, but said nothing. Surprisingly the aid responded "How so?"

The Medical head responds "The big problem I am talking about is, when we got attacked the men were infected with a second, new disease. This in conjunction with the first disease speeds up the time of death substantially. Where the Defense heads stupidity comes in was allowing the infected to leave the medical tent, which was an awful idea in every way. This allowed the 2 diseases to mix and become stronger, as well as spreading it to the entire base."

At this time screaming started coming from around the camp and the Medical tent. This sent the Medical head running while also ordering the aid to get things, while the Defense head stood there like a statue.

After a few hours of panic and action at the demon base everything was finally starting to calm down. Inside the Chiefs tent the Defense head stood behind the desk looking at the Medical head and aid in front of him.

"What are you 2 doing here?"

The Medical head says calmly "I am required to give you a report, so I am here to fulfill that requirement."

The aid joins in saying "I am also required."

The Defense head sighs "Alright then, let's hear your required reports."

The Medical head starts off with "Today 7 men were lost due to the disease combination, and currently have 5 more being treated. We have found that this new disease appears to be the same, except it will target muscles as well. That is all."

As soon as the Medical head finished he left without spending a second longer in the tent.

The aid started "Due to medical complications, all of the workers were given the day off to be tested. We are at 80 percent completion of the base repairs, but are not expected to complete them until tomorrow. That is all."

The aid then followed the Medical head and left the tent immediately. The Defense head was left there standing, already knowing exactly what would happen when the Chief arrived back.

Back at the DSC base Charlie arrived at the underground workshop. "Gill do you have the bullets?" Gill then came around the corner with a box and handed it to Charlie.

"There you go, Charlie.''Charlie nods and takes them to the Captain who is on the roof.

"Captain, are you sure that this will work?"

The Captain smiles and responds "Oh, I sure, and I can't wait to see it."
