Jace wakes up the next day to a few notifications. "Ding killed one, one horned demon xp gained 200. Due to the title effect xp increased to 240." Jace is sitting there stupefied at the development.
'I bet that my disease killed someone from that base yesterday'. "Ding, you have leveled up" "Ding companion has earned 1600xp" "Ding, you have earned 2 new abilities." Jace, hearing this, rushes to open his status.

Jace then sees that Weak Disease Creation and Weak Disease Incubation had leveled up. 'That's weird, why didn't they level up before this?'. Jace then gets the notification he wasn't expecting but made sense.
"Ding, you were not notified or showed the information due to having insufficient mana. Much like now with Hex and Curse creation. Would you like to receive notifications for ability level up even if mana level is insufficient." 'Yes I would, you seem a lot more talkative today. Why is that?' Jace proceeded to not get another answer from the system.

Jace, after reading the abilities, notices that nothing has changed. 'That's weird, why has nothing changed in them even though their levels have increased?' Jace, waiting for the system to respond, hears nothing from it. Jace, satisfied with his inspection, gets prepared for his day.
Jace gets up and goes out of his safe house. 'My plan right now is to check on that demon base and to do a perimeter check in the two directions I haven't checked yet. After that I should know if I am safe enough to use the insight for the new abilities'.
Jace heading in the direction of the camp sees plants he has never seen before. 'Those flowers and bushes must have mutated from the new mana'. Jace, continuing his journey, arrives a safe distance from the base. Jace then climbs up the tree like he had done before.
This time as he looks across the base he sees that everything was the same. It looked exactly like it had before which was both good and bad in Jace's mind. 'It's good that they are doing what they were yesterday because they will not bother me for a while. It is bad for me however that sense they are doing the same thing that probably means that none of them are infected. Also, the further they get and the more they complete the harder it will be for me to face and keep them away from me'.
Jace after finishing his inspection returns to the safe house. Jace after arriving eats lunch and checks the other 2 directions. Jace arriving home at sundown after finding nothing is very happy. 'I finally did it! I am able to collect mana so subconsciously I forget I am even doing it. That means that I can finally do it while I am fighting'.
Jace eats dinner, checks his phone for service, seeing none, before getting prepared to start the insight to one of the new abilities. 'I need to make a good decision on this. A wrong one could leave me weak and without a new trick up my sleeve'. Jace sits in the room debating the pros and cons of each. 'Curse is better if I face a stronger opponent. Hex has more punching power however.' Jace continues this back and forth before deciding on one.
'I should choose hex. If I create a good one I can apply it to my throwing knives and use it against the demon base'.
As Jace was preparing to gain insight there was a problem in the demon base. What Jace hadn't realized when he inspected the base earlier in the day was that there were a few less demons. These demons that he hadn't realized disappeared were in a tent in the corner of the camp.
The reason the demons were in the tent was that they had gotten infected with Jace's Splitter V2. In the Leader's tent he was talking to the demon that had chosen as his aid. "How am I supposed to increase morale?" the Leader asked while looking at the sick tent.
"You could host a hunting and raiding party leader" the aid asked cautiously. "I can't do that, they are all already scared enough." "What do you mean Leader?" the aid asked with a confused face. "I mean that after they all realized that they could die and that they were not invincible on this planet. They got scared and started to lose all their morale."
The Leader then turned away and muttered under his breath "Those dumb rookies making my life hard." The aid then had an idea "What if you host a tournament where the winner becomes promoted?"
The Leader thought about it "It might get them fired up again and it will be a way for them to see that they are still strong. Good idea, get everything prepared at once." The aid ran out of the tent to get everything ready.
