Jace arrives close to the demon base and stops once again as he hears something. Jace instead of going further decides to just cimb the nearest tree. When he arrives at the top of the tree he sighs.
Jace sees demons cutting down all the trees near the base to make a perimeter of open space around it. Jace sees that the tree he is in will be safe for a while and starts his plan.
Jace gets out the phone while calling Reaper to him. Jace then once again attaches the phone to Reaper's feet with duct tape. Before Reaper can take off however Jace makes it so the phone is recording.
Reaper then flies away acting like a scout drone. 'Man this was a good idea. Now I will be able to make a perfect map and plan my attacks better'. Jace, seeing Reaper is good, starts to plan what he should do when he gets back to the safe house.
'I need to keep using creations to get stronger. The curse was especially helpful in the fight against that one demon. Speaking of that demon, I need to unlock the third page for the technique books. If I had those during the fight than it would have been so much easier'.
Jace then while sitting in the tree makes a training and creation schedule for himself. Jace finishes this schedule when Reaper arrives back with the phone. Jace takes the phone and tape off Reaper's talons and prepares to leave.
Before leaving Jace gets out a few throwing knives while also checking his supply. 'I still have a few on me and before the invasion I did buy a lot of them so I should be fine using a few'. Jace then prepares a two throwing knives with a Flaming Hex and one with a Disease Blade.
Jace lines up the ones with the flame hex and sends it to the perimeter wall. Jace sees them stick into the wall and lines up the Disease Blade throwing knife to the rough area of the working demons.
After Jace throws it he gets down from the tree and hears the scream like last time. When Jace hears this he activates the Flame Hexes and starts running.
At the demon base the Chief runs out to carnage. The Chief immediately sees what the problem this time was, the perimeter wall was on fire. This fire had destroyed the system of defense for the demons and sent them into a frenzy like before.

The Chief then decides that he was taking charge as it worked last time so he started yelling "Everyone to your positions! We are under attack again! Those on wall segment A start by putting out the fire!"
The Chief, seeing all the demons following the directions as intended, goes to check on the fire more closely. When the Chief arrives at the flaming wall segment he sighs. The wall segment was completely destroyed and they would need to replace it.
The Chief puts this away for later and focuses on the attack that he suspects wouldn't come. The Chief was right after a few minutes when it was reported that the attacker once again ran away. The Chief then once again calls all of the heads into his tent.
When they arrive they are met with the Chief slamming his hand on the desk as well as demons equivalent to cussing. After waiting for the Chief to calm down he takes their reports like last time. The Medical head was first and reported "There were some demons that were burned in the fire. The injuries are minor so it is nothing to worry about, chief."
The defense head reported "First segment A of the wall was badly damaged and will need to be prepared. It is unfortunate but our response time was even worse than last time. We were not prepared for the attackers to use fire. I would like to talk about a system for this kind of attack as soon as possible as this defense was very bad, chief."
The Chief nods and agrees "Yes, stay after." The Investigation head was the last to go and confirmed many of the Chiefs suspicions about the attacker.
"The attacker was posted once again in a tree and ran away immediately after the attack. We also found that the fires were caused by the objects that hit our men yesterday. This is all to say that it is very likely that it was the same person as last time that attacked. I still believe that continuing to clear the trees is the best option to beat the attacker right now, chief."
The Chief nods and sends everyone except the defense head out. After the meeting with the defense head the aid brings in a message from home base. When the Chief reads it he once again slams his hand on the table.
While also at the demon base there was a demon with a throwing knife injury that had been infected with Splitter V3. This demon had been by segment A so it thought it was from a piece of wood and didn't get it checked by the medical tent. Because of this the demon spent the whole day and night spreading the disease.
Back at the safe house Jace was ecstatic. Jace and Reaper were both currently watching the video from Jace's phone. 'This worked perfectly, it is just like a drone! Now I can make a perfect map for planning attacks'.
Jace grabs his half done map and using the video perfects it. After Jace does he sees that there is some daylight left and decides to practice branch jumping.
After finishing with the training and the normal routines Jace initiates the first step of the schedule. 'Today is upgrading Splitter V3. And now I can use Splitter V2 to upgrade it and make all the symptoms even better.
Well better for me at least not the demons'. Jace then begins creating the disease core. But little did Jace know that this was going to be a very interesting night for him.
