Mengdie realized that what lay before her was not her necklace, but the floor. As she gathered her senses, she found herself face down on the ground.

"Hey! Edward! Didn't you say you'd give me the necklace?!" Mengdie was furious, she quickly got up from the ground and shouted at Edward.

Edward blushed, clearly hesitating. But after much deliberation, he decided to stand by his decision. Even if it meant being seen as a complete villain by this girl, it couldn't be helped.

"Mengdie, if you agree to come to my selection ball... no, agree to marry me. Not just this necklace, but any jewelry in the world you want, I will give you!" he declared.

Duke, Edward's attendant, hearing this, tried to stop him, shouting "Your Highness, you cannot do this!"

"I know what I'm doing!!!" Edward silenced Duke. He looked sincerely at Mengdie and repeated, "Miss Mengdie! I... I don't know what else to say. Since I first saw you, my heart has had no room for any other girl. Will you marry me? Become the queen of this country! I... I will always treat you well, and always be loyal to you!"

Edward's words, which he thought were sincere, only fueled Mengdie's anger. She clenched her fists, and as Edward finished speaking, she couldn't hold back any longer. Pointing at Edward, she shouted, "Edward! In the name of our past friendship, I'll give you one more chance! Give me my necklace back, and take back your nonsense! I will never marry a man! Disgusting!"

Mengdie waited for a moment, but seeing that Edward had no intention of handing over the box, she stepped forward and swung a punch towards his face. It was a feint, anticipating a reflexive defense. However, Edward unexpectedly took the punch and staggered backward. Duke immediately called for the soldiers to surround and protect Edward.

"You... you!!!" Mengdie, seeing the human wall before her, stomped her feet in frustration and burst into tears. Edward, seeing the girl he liked crying because of him, was filled with mixed feelings. But the situation had reached a point of no return.

"I hereby declare!" Edward raised the box and announced loudly, "Tonight at the ball, I, Edward Lanxide Mul, will choose the future queen of Silver Moon and personally adorn her with this necklace. Until then, it will be securely stored in our national 'Treasury.' Mengdie, hate me if you must!"

Mengdie was more than just angry. She wanted to tear Edward apart and cook him into a stew! How could anyone be so unreasonable, taking someone else's belonging to gift to a future wife?

As Edward walked towards the Treasury, guarded by soldiers, Mengdie knew she had to act fast. If the necklace was secured, it would be near impossible to retrieve. Without hesitation, she lunged towards Edward.

"Stop her!" At Edward's command, two soldiers rushed towards Mengdie, attempting to apprehend her without weapons.

Mengdie, filled with rage, turned and pounced on the closest soldier. Despite his grip on her collar, she quickly seized his wrist, twisted it, and pinned him to the ground. The other soldier tried to help but was caught off guard by Mengdie's sudden leap, allowing her to trap his head between her legs and land atop his shoulders.

The soldiers, distracted by Mengdie's closeness and the warmth emanating from her body, were easily subdued. Mengdie's swift actions left Edward surprised, unaware of her physical limitations in her female body.

Breathless, Mengdie calmed herself and stepped forward, pointing at the box in Edward's hand. "Okay, Edward. I don't want the necklace anymore. But can I just touch it? Just a light touch with one finger. What do you say?"

Just one touch was all she needed to regain her power. Who then could stop her?
