“You said what??!!” Mengdie had reached her limit. She charged forward and kicked Xiu in the abdomen, knocking him to the ground. She then began to mercilessly trample his chest, one stomp after another until he was almost out of breath. She stopped, standing firmly on his chest, and furiously scolded him.
In the midst of Mengdie’s stormy tirade, Xiu, instead of defending himself, grabbed her foot that was on his chest and weakly said with a bloodied smile, “Trust me! Miss Mengdie, I’m a scientist! Please believe me!”
“You called me ‘(in Mandarin) hollow’! And you still want me to trust you?!”
“What? Hollow?... No... no, Miss Mengdie, I definitely didn’t mean you should go commando! I just said that your boxer shorts are ruining the aesthetic of the dress! I just wanted you to take them off!”
“That’s nonsense! Didn’t you cut these holes yourself?! Why should I bear the consequences of your mistake? You want me to seduce in this male body, I've already tolerated enough, how far do you want me to go? Say it!!!”
The surrounding women listened to their exchange in shock, many even blushing.
“Please... let me stand up first! I promise... it’s not what you think!”
Despite Xiu’s pleas, Mengdie refused to let him up. Finally, Xiu, trembling, reached into his robe and pulled out a piece of creamy silk-like cloth, waving it in front of Mengdie.
“This... this is my guarantee! Please... trust me! I’m a scientist! Miss Mengdie, please give a genius scientist some trust!”
Seeing the insignificant piece of silk in Xiu's hand, Mengdie thought for a moment and finally stepped off, allowing him to stand. Xiu, gasping for air, smiled again at Mengdie after checking his chest, then took scissors and cut the cloth into an 8-shaped piece, stuffing the rest into his robe and handing the cut piece to Mengdie.

“What is this?”
“Hehe, it’s a fabric I invented that can adhere to human skin without falling off. It’s soft and breathable. Once you remove your aesthetically displeasing underwear, wrap this around your lower body, press it against the skin for thirty seconds, and it will stick to you. This fabric will adjust itself according to your leg movements, so it won’t cause any discomfort. After about 24 hours, it will automatically detach. Hehe, I’m quite a genius, right?”
With little time left, Mengdie no longer argued. As long as she wasn’t completely without underwear, and the innerwear wasn’t of a woman’s, it was acceptable. She went to the washroom alone, closed the door, and began to change.
She pulled up her skirt's front with her lips, standing in front of the mirror. With both hands, she slowly removed her familiar underwear. It had indeed been uncomfortable since she emerged from the lake. Feeling the air on her bare skin, she felt much more comfortable.
However, seeing the unfamiliar reflection in the mirror, a hint of pink, instead of the familiar “treasure” she knew, frustration surged again.
“Necklace, oh necklace, please break the seal soon! My body might be in you!”
The ruby necklace on her chest shined with an ordinary glow, offering no response.
Mengdie shook her head, spread her legs, and wrapped the 8-shaped cloth around her lower body, pressing it against her abdomen and buttocks for about thirty seconds. When she released her hands, the fabric adhered firmly to her skin, moving freely without any hindrance.
Mengdie hummed softly, letting her skirt fall. But when she saw her reflection, an odd feeling surged... Yes, she was wearing something, but from the outside, it was hard to tell she had anything on at all! It felt as though something had been lost...
While Mengdie was examining herself in the mirror, trying to figure out what was off about her appearance, Emily suddenly rushed into the washroom. Seeing Emily, Mengdie was initially startled, but then, seeing her own reflection looking as if she wasn’t wearing underwear, she reflexively covered her lower body, realizing what felt off.
(Damn Xiu! After we save everyone, I'm definitely giving you a good beating!)
Emily, oblivious to Mengdie’s embarrassment, hid in a corner, pale and pointing outside, muttering, “They’re... they’re here!”
So, they've finally come?
Mengdie nodded and headed for the door. Whatever else had to be discussed could wait until after the rescue. Right now, it was most important to divert the attention of everyone at the General's mansion.
Opening the door, she saw the clerk looking around the room angrily, apparently searching for the green-haired girl. Xiu was nowhere to be seen, but it seemed certain he hadn’t been caught.
“Sorry to keep you waiting.”
Mengdie slowly approached the clerk from behind, clasped her hands in front, and bowed.
Hearing her voice, the clerk turned around angrily, raising his hand as if to slap the girl behind him. But when he finally saw who it was, his hand froze mid-air, unable to come down.
