As Mengdie and Xiu departed, Emily's face, with its lingering smile of reluctance, gradually settled. Holding the money bag, she stood still like a puppet. Soon, a figure appeared behind her.

Red-nosed Bark – Emily's father.

"Have they gone?" Bark asked in an unusually calm voice.

Emily nodded, "Yes."

"Report back to the master."

"Yes, your task is completed."

As Emily finished speaking, Red-nosed Bark's body suddenly started to melt like a deflated balloon. From his still partially intact mouth, ears, nostrils, and eyes, tiny snakes began to crawl out! These snakes swiftly moved towards Emily's feet, then up her legs and under her skirt. In no time at all, the snakes vanished. The being that was once known as Red-nosed Bark was now nothing but a puddle of blood on the ground.

"Puppeteer Emily, your acting is truly astonishing."

Unbeknownst to Emily, a massive trio of figures, one black, one white, and one huge, had already positioned themselves behind her. Hearing the white-cloaked man's compliment, Emily gave a slight smile, reached up to touch her face, and with a tug, peeled off her freckles, revealing a slightly tanned, beautiful visage underneath.

“Lord White Shadow, receiving your praise is my greatest honor.”

Emily turned around, her eyes meeting those of the masked White Shadow. She stood with her hands behind her back, her smile filled with joy.

Behind White Shadow stood the giant Wiba, now even more fierce and terrifying with the loss of an eye and an arm. Strangely, his size, although still imposing, was not as exaggerated as before, just a bit more robust than an average man.

The last figure, clad in black robes, remained enshrouded in endless darkness, their face hidden. Whether male or female, fat or thin, tall or short – it was impossible to discern.

This person was the Black Shadow, corresponding to White Shadow in the Black Flame Serpent organization.

Wiba, looking at Emily, snorted dismissively, “Pfft, what’s so great? This snake woman didn’t kill anyone, just sold herself off! Acting all pitiful like a weak woman? Disgusting! Why didn’t you sell yourself to the palace? With your acting skills, you might as well become the next queen of Lewell Empire or Silver Moon Kingdom! But no, not only did you not kill that woman, but you even sent her off happily! Black Shadow, White Shadow, I really don’t get what this all means!!!”

Emily's sharp wit was evident as she retorted, leaving Wiba speechless with anger.

White Shadow intervened, “Enough, both of you. As members of the 'Four Generals', stop fighting. Emily, please, for my sake, let’s end this quarrel, okay?”

Emily, pleased by White Shadow’s intervention, coyly approached him and clasped his arm, batting her eyelashes flirtatiously.

White Shadow turned to Black Shadow, "Black Shadow, you orchestrated this event. Although it’s interesting, it can’t continue indefinitely. We have more important tasks, and we’re missing a crucial element. Time is pressing, and we can't afford to upset our master. I hope you can focus on work rather than toying with that girl."

After a moment of silence, White Shadow smiled, seemingly receiving a response.

“Good, you understand. We need to speed up the tasks given by our master. It seems unfair to toy with her, given her sincere dedication to you.”

Hearing White Shadow's words, Emily, who was wrapped around his arm, seemed displeased. She huffed, "Lord White Shadow! Are you that concerned about her?!”

White Shadow laughed casually, "After all, she is an interesting and unusual girl."

Emily's gaze hardened with malice towards the direction Mengdie had gone, revealing a new side of her...
