“What’s wrong? Is there anything I can help you with?” Edward and Xiu quickly stepped forward, kneeling again on either side of Mengdie.

Mengdie nodded slightly, her uncontrolled tears shimmering. A sentence slowly drifted from her pink lips - "Can you... help me... take off my clothes?... The fabric is sticking to the burn wounds... it hurts..."

In an instant, the expressions of Edward and Xiu froze...

In fact, after the recent battle, Mengdie's clothes were already heavily burnt. Except for the gauntlets made from death lizard skin and the magical absorption device on them, almost none of her clothes were intact. Her pants had numerous burnt holes, exposing patches of her fair skin, marred slightly by wounds. The sleeves on her arms were almost completely burnt away, revealing many small burns. The most intact part of her outfit was probably the body section. However, even this was mostly cut and burnt, leaving her feeling barely covered...

Tears welled up in Mengdie's eyes from the pain. Her clenched teeth made her cheeks even redder. After waiting a while and seeing no response from the two men, she bit her lip and repeated, “Can you please help me take off my clothes? It hurts... sticking to the wound... it really hurts...”

As she spoke, tears finally streamed down her cheeks.

It was unclear what Xiu was thinking, but Edward stood up abruptly, panting heavily. He turned around sharply, raising his giant sword and, without a word, swung it at Xiu!

Bewildered by Edward's sudden attack, Xiu quickly raised his staff to block the sword and hastily stood up, retreating backwards.

"Hey! Hey! Your Highness! Are you out of your mind?! Stop it!"

Edward roared and swung his sword handle, pushing Xiu away from Mengdie. He wielded the sword with full force, showing no mercy. Fortunately, his own severe injuries limited his strength, otherwise Xiu, flustered and struggling to defend, wouldn't have lasted so long.

Within seconds, Edward forced Xiu to the cargo hold's door. He yelled, swung his fist, and broke open the door! Seizing the moment of Xiu's surprise, he grabbed Xiu by the collar and threw him out of the cargo hold.

"Ah! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"

Xiu screamed as he was thrown out, and Edward immediately followed. With his back to Mengdie, who was stunned inside the cargo hold, he looked straight ahead, shouting loudly -

"Nia! Help Mengdie change her clothes!!!"

After saying this, he pulled the cargo hold door and slammed it shut with a "bang". Holding his blunt sword, he gasped for air and walked slowly towards the bewildered Xiu, who was getting up...

Inside the cargo hold, through the thick wooden door, Mengdie and Nia could barely hear the sounds of the fight outside. Xiu's muffled questions and Edward's furious shouts overlapped. After a while, the sound of Xiu chanting spells and swords slicing through steel echoed. Without seeing, they knew it must be quite a "lively" scene outside.

Mengdie raised her head in confusion and asked Nia, "What’s wrong with Edward...? He’s not confused due to his injuries, is he?"

Nia looked at Mengdie with a peculiar gaze, as if trying to read her mind. After a long sigh, realizing that Mengdie wasn't toying with the two men but genuinely unaware of what she was saying, Nia approached and took out her silver moon dagger, gently cutting through the clothes on Mengdie's skin.

Nia cut open Mengdie's chest clothing and tossed the fabric aside. Looking at the perfect body that even made her blush, she muttered softly, "Sister Mengdie... sometimes you really are... too..."

"Too what?"

With her chest clothing removed, Mengdie breathed much easier. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and spoke without embarrassment.

Nia tilted her head in thought, then shook it silently. She raised her dagger and carefully cut away the rest of Mengdie's clothes. Soon, Mengdie was left with only her underwear, completely devoid of any other clothing.

"Ah! Wait... wait a moment!"

As Nia reached out to hook Mengdie's underwear with the intent to cut it, Mengdie suddenly looked very embarrassed. She tried to cover her lower body and block her underwear, her face turning completely red, and said, "This piece... let’s leave this..."

Seeing Mengdie's gesture, a smile appeared on Nia's face. She chuckled twice, sheathed her dagger, and crouched beside Mengdie, resting her chin on her hands, "Sister Mengdie, so you do know how to be shy~"

Mengdie turned her head away, not wanting to look at the young girl. Of course, she was embarrassed! How could she let a girl see her private parts?

"Alright! I need to sleep for a while, to recover quickly. You should go out and stop those two. The noise is getting louder, and I'm afraid something bad might happen."

Nia ignored Mengdie's advice and lay beside her, wrapping her arms tightly around Mengdie's neck, rubbing her face against Mengdie's chest.

"No... I don't want to... Let them fight... I don't like that useless magician, and I like the prince even less. Sister Mengdie, are you worried about them?"
