Mengdie never imagined that such a simple question would instantly brighten Princess Sasha's somber mood. Sasha beams, sharing, "To atone for my mother's sins, I became an honorary nun at the Great Mercy Church. A kind-hearted priest there taught me to become a magic user of divine arts. Additionally, Prime Minister Rein, whose wife perished in that incident 13 years ago, taught me wind magic. He always says, 'A daughter shouldn't bear the sins of her mother.' Over the years, Prime Minister Rein has been the one taking the most care of me."
As Sasha speaks, her face is filled with a renewed smile. Lena and Coco exchange glances, both smiling proudly.
Just as Sasha is about to continue, steady footsteps suddenly approach, catching Mengdie's alert ears. She stands up abruptly, eyes darting towards the source of the sound.
Nia asks, "What's wrong?"
Mengdie urgently replies, "Someone's coming! We need to hide... now!"

The footsteps grow closer. Mengdie quickly pulls Nia to Lena and Coco's side, quickly wiping the crumbs from Nia's mouth, transforming them into two ordinary maids.
The footsteps near, and an elderly man in a robe, leaning on a staff, appears. He’s around fifty, with a kind face. Approaching the pavilion, he bows to Princess Sasha.
"Princess, I hope you are well."
Upon seeing him, Sasha stands up with a smile, "Prime Minister Rein, thank you for your concern."
After some formalities, Rein enters the pavilion, his eyes landing on the unexpected presence of Mengdie and Nia. He looks puzzled.
"What's this?" Rein asks, pointing at Mengdie.
Sasha hesitates to explain. Before she can speak, Rein stops her, "No need to explain. I understand. Being accompanied only by my two daughters for so long, you must feel lonely."
Sasha nods in agreement. Rein laughs and waves Mengdie and Nia over, surprised by Mengdie's beastly features but quickly resumes his warm demeanor. "Well, as long as Princess Sasha likes it, it's fine. This little fox girl is quite pretty and feminine, not like the wild beastkin women. She won't spoil your image."
Mengdie, inwardly frustrated at being judged by her appearance, restrains her urge to react.
Rein seems not to notice Mengdie's discomfort and continues chatting with Sasha and his daughters. After about thirty minutes, he stands to leave, explaining that recent turmoil limits his visiting time.
As Rein prepares to depart, Sasha's eyes reveal a hint of longing. Noticing this, Rein pauses, gently patting Sasha's head, comforting her like a loving father. He promises to talk to the king about visiting her.
Sasha nods gently, her pointed ears drooping. Rein bows and instructs his daughters before leaving the pavilion.
