With the necklace in hand, the next task for Mengdie and Xiu was to support Edward and Nia, who had already headed to Lewell City. Traveling directly towards the capital of the Lewell Empire, Mengdie spent her days on horseback meticulously examining the necklace, deeply absorbed in study. Accompanied by a seemingly unhurried Xiu, their journey stretched over a month without reaching Lewell City.
Mengdie believed that figuring out how to use the power of the necklace was the best way to assist Edward and Nia.
One evening, while traveling through a forest, they cleared a space to set up camp. After securing the horses and setting up two tents, Mengdie sat near the campfire, holding the red gemstone necklace, lost in thought. Meanwhile, Xiu was engrossed in a paper he had been studying since leaving Maville City, which Mengdie occasionally peeked at. However, she couldn’t make much sense of it, as she couldn’t read, and according to Xiu, the paper contained nonsensical, often misspelled sentences. It was likely a coded document he had snatched from General Del.
As darkness fell and nocturnal animals emerged, the fire kept unwanted visitors at bay.

Suddenly, Mengdie stood up from her spot, clutching the necklace, her eyes shining with hope. This sudden excitement startled Xiu, who eagerly asked what was so good.

She planned to use a transformation spell in conjunction with the necklace’s power to revert to her male form. Although the change would be superficial, lacking any real strength, it was still a worthwhile endeavor until she could fully unleash the necklace's power.
Mengdie decided to try the transformation spell without explaining her complex plan to Xiu. She requested Xiu to sleep first, assuring him she would follow after experimenting with the new spell.
Xiu, however, was not easily persuaded to leave. As Mengdie headed into the darker parts of the forest, she quickly lost him and climbed onto a sturdy tree branch.
Bathed in the light of three moons, Mengdie took a deep breath, calming her excitement. She closed her eyes and began the incantation for the transformation spell. A subtle force emerged from the necklace, wrapping around her body. As she continued the chant, her hair began to change.
Her long, waist-length hair started to shorten gradually, inch by inch. Mengdie's forehead beaded with sweat as she focused on transforming her long hair into a masculine short style. Once the hair was done, she would move on to her face, voice, chest, and importantly, her genitals.
As her hair continued to shorten, Mengdie grew increasingly nervous, visualizing her original male appearance in her mind...
