Chapter 19 Exploration
Upon getting up from the bed, Kailey examined the room, discovering it to be spacious and somewhat luxurious despite not having much inside. As she inspected the bed she had slept on, Kailey thought it was similar, if not better, than the somewhat expensive room she had stayed in during her previous travels.
After finishing her look-over of the bed, she scrutinized other furniture occupying the room. Seeing a chest in the corner of the room, Kailey discreetly slinked over to the chest and tried to open it, hoping to find some treasures inside. When she tried to open the chest's lid, the elaborate-looking chest made a *chink* sound. Detecting that it would not be able to open, Kailey soon lost interest and left the chest alone.
After inspecting the other furniture in the room, Kailey discovered some long robes that vaguely resembled the academy uniform from her dream. She also found some well-preserved clothes that she decided to wear because the outfit she was currently wearing didn't match her sense of style. When Kailey tried on the clothes, she noticed something incredible. To her delight, the clothes adjusted to fit her perfectly. The revelation sparked a sense of greed within Kailey as she imagined how much money she could save by studying the magic embedded in these garments.

Feeling joyous about her discovery, she calmed herself down, then opened the door to the room, expecting to find the witch hat's laboratory. Instead, she walked into a long, labyrinthine corridor filled with doors. This unexpected turn of events caused Kailey to panic, fearing she might be lost in the hallway forever.
Once again, she calmed down and unsteadily walked down the corridor, her steps faltering as she heard the echoes of her footfalls. As Kailey briskly walked down the maze-like corridor, she occasionally opened doors to satisfy her curiosity. She discovered an assortment of places, including a private study filled with shelves of decayed cobwebs covering dust-covered books. She also found ritual rooms covered in experimental, archaic-looking magic formations that covered the entire floor. The only items in these rooms were candles and scattered books with extremely yellowed pages that looked like they would turn to dust if touched.
While Kailey wandered through the rooms, she couldn't help but notice several distinct items that seemed to be still in good condition. Intrigued, she took a closer look, inspecting each item to learn more about its purpose and potential uses.
