Chapter 110 Ending the Battle
Dahdin recalled his last experience before waking up in a dark space. He remembered that he had come to meditate or answer a question posed by the girl with the witch hat about what he could see inside the distortion. Then he remembered something obscuring his vision and waking up in a dark space. As he reflected on what had happened, his killing intent gradually faded, and the heavy pressure he had felt began to lift. Instinctively, he searched for the source of this receding pressure. When his gaze fell upon the girl, he understood that the previous weight was coming from the witch hat she wore. Remembering their names, Dahdin slowly said, "Lucia and Aleshia."
Aleshia sighed in relief and asked curiously, "Are you feeling alright now? Are you experiencing any pain?"
"Just a slight pain, but that's nothing to worry about," Dahdin calmly replied. He noticed Lucia, the witch hat, was silent and asked why. "Is something wrong with Lucia? She doesn't seem to be awake."
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Understanding his confusion, Aleshia told Dahdin, "Lucia is incapacitated because she has been supplying the defenses with most of her mana while you were unconscious, leaving her with low mana." Upon hearing this, Dahdin looked around and observed various swirling symbols and traces of the parasite. After surveying the land and witnessing the devastation, he said to Aleshia, "Wait here for a moment while I cleanse the battlefield."
Dahdin sprinted to the remnants of the battle, surveying the battlefield with grief and sorrow at the loss of nature in the land. He considered various ways to restore the land but realized he couldn't do it himself. Feeling helpless, he channeled his anger toward the parasites whenever he spotted any traces of them and dispersed them. In the process, he discovered he was unconsciously using some of the power the Ancestor had alluded to. This realization solidified his belief that he defeated the parasite within him. Dahdin used the powers granted to him along with his abilities to disperse the parasites. When he reached the center of the battlefield, he observed several sigils infused with Lucia's mana fighting and struggling against a vast mass of parasite mist. Without hesitation, he joined the fight to defeat it.
When Dahdin finally returned to Aleshia, Lucia was awake and recovered, partly thanks to some of Aleshia's mana. There were no longer any signs of the parasite mist.
As the green wolf approached, Aleshia noticed something unusual surrounding it but attributed it to her fatigue. Still, she remained cautious and asked, "Were you able to defeat the remnant mist?" the wolf replied, "I believe there won't be any more once I close the distortions."
