Degraded Sigils

Chapter 95 Degraded Sigils

Aleshia continued moving forward until she reached Dahdin's body. The sigils had pushed the mist away considerably, but Aleshia noticed some small bits of mist still clinging to Dahdin's fur. She was about to use her magic to try to eliminate the mist but remembered that it could only be affected by the magic Lucia was producing. Keeping this in mind, she guided some of the sigils flowing toward the battle and redirected them to the spots of mist still hiding in Dahdin's fur.

As the sigils approached the mist, they instinctively drew closer. Aleshia watched as the sigils neutralized the mist, realizing that the mist's power was similar to that of the sigils. By the time the mist was gone, the vitality within two of the five sigils was nearly exhausted and on the brink of disappearing. Seeing this, Aleshia came up with an idea to prolong the existence of the sigils. However, before implementing her plan, she decided to delay the plan, just in case there were more hidden mists around Dahdin's body that the sigils could target.

Aleshia guided the sigils all over Dahdin's limp body, concerned that there might still be mists hidden in the spots of his fur that she had not discovered. Once the sigils had thoroughly searched Dahdin's body and cleared away all the mist, only three sigils remained, with the last two barely clinging to life. The sigils were cracked in places and flickering, their flames about to extinguish, reflecting the intense battle the sigils fought.

Aleshia moved forward with her plan to reignite the energy of the surviving sigils she had devised just minutes earlier. Although she did not know how to craft the intricate and powerful sigils, she believed she could provide them with energy. Aleshia called over the two most degraded sigils, siphoning energy from them and channeling the remainder into the least cracked sigil. Once the procedure was complete, she stepped back to observe the newly energized sigil. After scanning it for any leaks, she let out a sigh of relief and satisfaction when she discovered that there were no flaws in the result.

Now armed with the new knowledge that her idea would work, Aleshia felt confident and decided on a plan to gather the dying sigils scattered across the field. She planned to renew the less damaged ones and, through experimentation, learn how to restore the more severely cracked ones. However, before proceeding with this task, she needed to determine what she could do for the wolf before her.
