Chapter 8: A Prophet in Chains

She woke up coughing, which only makes sense if you're chamber was inside a room filled with mustiness and black mold growing in the walls.

The room she was in had absolutely no light whatsoever.....no warm...which she likes best.

The worst thing about being in her cell though was no freedom to walk around....for she was chained up to the wall.

At least she was in silence, which she also liked.

Suddenly, her master appeared. She groaned miserably.

Her master was always dressed in a dark cloak that covered him from head to toe, he had a black mask on. One thing that stood out from his dark features, was his glowing deep purple eyes. The veins in his eyes were very noticable and very black...almost the color of ink.

She looked down to see that he had that damn unlit torch in his hand again.

He likes to use fire on her, he likes to burn her.....she could swear to the gods she once prayed to, he likes to her blood curdling screams.

But no, the real reason he uses it on her, is to force prophecies out of her. To force the right action to take, the right people to trust or imprison .....like her.

Her master opens the cell door and enters. He reached out to touch her face, but she didn't feel any warmth....either it was because she's numb or he's really that cold of a person.

Suddenly, her master's hand still touching her face, emanated fire, causing her to scream until she could see different colors and different shapes....until a vision appeared once again.

"Tell me..what do you SEE?" Her master, known as Azazel hissed. She then gazed into his deep purple eyes, noticing that his face under the mask twitched.

"There's trouble afoot...coming from the south...."

Azazel eyed her wickedly. "What needs to be done, witch?"

He burned her again, and once again, she screamed.

"Don't let enemies too close, friends too far....keep your foot on the ground and head in your shoulders..."

Azazel then let go of her, and slowly he left the cell, only turning around to lock her up.
