Mica had finished the sorry and it left Zack stunned. Ebony, who was listening, spoke up. "I've heard about what happened. He seemed to have been a good friend."

Mica nodded. "Loyal to the end!"

Zack pressed his fingers to his lips, Shadow, who was in his wolf form, peeked behind them. "Oh, good. She's still asleep." He sighed.

Zack smiled. "Any luck?"

Shadow changed and answered him. "Just one that I've seen."

"Does she have any knowledge?" Zack asked him. Shadow looked like his face was growing pale. His expression seemed like he was deeply disturbed.

Zack though, knew the answer. He couldn't get himself to fully admit that Azazel has been the friend they were looking for this whole time. He spoke softly. "The answer's been right under our noses." Suddenly, he winced when he heard Max's voice behind him.

"WHAT? What do you mean?" Zack could tell that Max was starting to panic. He turned around and noticed that Max had his hands on the back of his head. "No, no, no,no ,no ,no ,no!" Max whispered to himself. Zack too was in a state of shock, but not as bad as this. Rose shot up from her sleep and noticed the commotion. She ran over to them. "Wait, what's wrong?"

"MATTHEW'S - !" But Max couldn't bring himself to say it, so Zack said it for him.

"Matthew's been right under our noses the whole time......he's............Azazel!" Zack couldn't admit it until he just spoke it. He found himself slamming his fist into the wall. How can this be? His childhood best friend.......

"Shh! He's coming!" Ebony whispered.

"Everyone, get in here!" Shadow ushered them to the secret passage inside the wall.

"Hurry!" Ebony warned. They all raced into the passageway, Shadow forced it shut. Seconds later, they heard him come into the room they'd just stayed in. "Aww shit! No one has a surprise for me? Such a shame!" Azazel said. Shadow gestured with his hand to get going. They all crept along inside the narrow passageway. They eventually reached the entrance. Shadow silences everyone to listen in, before letting them out.

"So he knows nothing about the passageways." Mica concluded to himself. "What a dumbass!"

"Would you rather he did know, so he can find us faster?" Zack retorted.

They all made it to their camp outside the castle walls. Everyone was in such shock, that barely any words came out of their mouths. Max covered his mouth and sobbed. Zack sat on a log, his hands out, and his head hung low. He sniffled. Shadow paced around in shock....unsure of how to feel or act. Rose wept. Mica and Ebony stood alone, looking at everyone in distress.
