He was about to teleport to Max and Zack until, he saw his blond friend run up to him. Shadow looked at him with surprise. "What happened, where's Max?"

Zack tried to catch his breath. "I was separated from him when a knight attacked, so I raced down to come find you. Speaking of which, what DID happen to you? We saw that one knight about to take you down."

Shadow sighed and looked at the floor with embarrassment. "He knocked me out."

"Are you alright" Zack asked him worriedly.

"I'm fine, let's go check on Max." He changed his form once again, and Zack did too. The blond wolf looked down at the floor and jumped. "What the hell? What happened here? And where are all those things?"

"I sent them back to the ground." Shadow said. Howl looked at him with surprise.

"How?"

"The ghost girl." Shadow replied simply. "She needed to channel through me so her power could stop them. She was an elemental witch. She had the earth magic ability."

"You got possessed?"

"No!" Shadow snapped.

Suddenly, they both heard footsteps running up to them. When they both looked, there stood Rose, Ebony and Mica.

"Are you guys okay?" Rose asked them.

Shadow nodded. "Did you guys do the deed? Did you kill her?"

Rose and Ebony exchanged worried glances. "No, but we have her chained up."

Shadow nodded once more. "Good." He then looked in Howl's direction. "We need to go."

"Go?" Rose wondered. Then she noticed there was only her brother and Howl standing before them. She looked at her brother with worry. "Where's Max?"

Shadow growled. "He's upstairs all alone with Azazel, 'cause THIS dipshit decided to bail on him!" He gave Howl a stern look.

Howl shook his head. "Look - " but Shadow ignored him, and his sister, as he ran up the stairs.
