Zack then decided to change into Howl and continued his walk, until a dark sensation in the air caused him and the others to stop abruptly.

Everyone looked around, feeling on edge.

"What the hell is that?" Shadow growled.

"I don't know." Howl said.

Rose looked at their surroundings too. "What do you think it is?"

They all listened, no one dared to move a muscle. Howl perked his ears. Shadow's hackles raised.

Suddenly, they could all hear a distant cackling. The air suddenly felt colder. Scratch gulped. The noise was getting closer and closer.

"We need to move." Howl declared.

"Right there with you!" Scratch said as he began to run. The rest of them did the same.

Howl could sense they were being followed. What was going on here?

All of a sudden, something made them halt, facing the mysterious opponent.
