Max sat by himself, looking at the pond filled with fish. Since Shadow wasn't awake yet, he offered to catch breakfast. But, looking down at the fish, they were as scrawny as straws of hay in between your teeth.
Ever since Matthew left them, he never stopped thinking.....never stopped worrying. Why did he have to push so hard? Why couldn't he shut up and leave him be? He didn't mean the things he said to him. He's a good guy, he's annoying at times, but he has his heart in the right place. Max definitely owes him. Was this his punishment for how he's been treating him? Suddenly, he heard footsteps behind him and a grunt. He glanced over his shoulder, and there Shadow was, coming to sit next to him on a log. Max smiled at him. "Hey, how're you feeling?"

Shadow groaned as he put a hand on the back of his neck. "Good I guess." He looked down at the pond then at Max. "What are you doing?"
Max laughed. "I wanted to find breakfast from this pond, but these guys are too skinny!"
Shadow laughed as well. "They sure are! Damn!"
"Yeah, I thought I do something for everyone and let you sleep, but I guess you've slept enough."
Shadow exhaled. "Yeah, I did. Listen..about last night.......I'm sorry I got like that. That hasn't happened to me in a long time!"
"Hey, hey.....you don't need to apologize for anything!" Max said. Except for the fact you're a constant ass all the time......"You're good, man!"
"Mica told you, didn't he?"
