After Scarlett's defeat and the curse broken, Max and his friends return to their home in the Village, only to be rejected by the place they grew up in. Currently living in a small den, they begin their quest for a new home, only to be faced with new dangers on the horizon. The sudden turn of events begin when Matthew goes missing, along with Valerian, and a familiar enemy comes knocking at their door, only to accompany them in their quest to save their friends. Max and the others must find Matthew and bring him home, and at the same time watch their backs, for a new threat has arrived, a creature known as Azazel. They'll soon begin to uncover if Azazel is the reason Matthew and Valerian went missing, or is there something more than meets the eye? Something far deeper underneath the surface of this twisted game? The answer is yet to come. "Things aren't always as they may seem."
