They walked for hours until Shadow spotted something in the thick of the trees.

Matthew was feeling very confident at this point. He felt like he WAS worth a fuck!

Shadow made a gesture with his hand, telling them to get down. They all huddled behind a boulder and looked over at the giant moose that stood in place, grazing at the wild grass that rose just above the animal's knees.

"Whoa." Matthew whispered as he looked at the great moose in awe. "Isn't that something."

Max made a low, light whistle. "You found the big one, Shadow." He grinned.

"Thanks." Shadow whispered.

Zack held his hunting knife and studied it. Matthew knows he's damn good with throwing them. It's a nice weapon, but he forgot he had his own weapon, a slingshot...good for distractions, and pelting squirrels. He'd been told in the past to not use his spear anymore ........he didn't remember what that reason was exactly.....something about villagers using them. Shadow didn't have any hunting gear, but with his new witch ability he developed, teleportation, he could sneak into the shadows and scare the living daylights out of the prey. Speaking of which, he was on his way to do that now.

When Shadow got the big game alert, it ran....but not for very long, because Matthew effortlessly sent a rock flying at a fast pace and hitting one of the knees, that made the game slow down. He didn't know why, but the moose slowly turned around, facing them. Angrily, the beast charged at them.M ax then drew back his bow and made a shot into the beast's chest, sent it crashing down. Max let another arrow fly and it finished the moose.

"Whew! That's dinner right there!" Matthew laughed.
