Valerian paused for a second and took her necklace off. She then gave it to Matthew. He was stunned when he saw the crystal.

Valerian rolled her eyes. "Just hold that for ten seconds, it'll help you to feel more worthy, and confident."

Matthew looked at her with a pale face. "You told us this is bad!"

"Not if you hold it for like two seconds. Here now hand it back."

He put it back in her hand immediately. "It's not always bad...its positive qualities include helping someone to increase their self esteem. How are you feeling right now?"

Matthew giggled. "Like I can take on the day!"

Valerian smiled. "Do you want to walk with me?"

"Sure!"

Before they could leave, Shadow approached them and asked Matthew if he was ready for the hunt.

"Oh yeah! I guess I better go, Val."

"Don't call me that!"

"Uh, sorry, Valerian."

Matthew then left with Shadow.

Valerian herself left, but went the opposite direction to find her ingredients.
