It's been so long.....he thought to himself as he looked at this familiar place, filled with mining tools and maps full of gold sites. He wandered to what used to be his bed. It wasn't much but a thin cloth over a stone floor. He enjoyed it though, it was.....comfortable. He then looked up at what was once his owner's bed. Great gratitude filled his heart again after so many years. He will never forget that very day, when he was just a pup in a den, his soon to be owner was on the prowl, and his tiny self hid away, thinking she was going to hurt him, since there was no one around. His mother got shot in front of his eyes by a bunch of poachers who assumed that wolves were the big bad, when that was actually, in fact, bears. When his soon to be owner stepped in the small cave after hearing him whine, she noticed him as harmless, he wouldn't touch her for him being so small. It took her a while to get him to come to her and when she did, she held him in her arms and cradled him as she took him home.

"Father's prejudiced, but he's just going to have to deal with it." She said to him. His brown eyes looked into hers. He was very happy that he wasn't going to get shot. And she was confident that with her having a prejudiced father, she wouldn't let him phase her..........sounds like she can kick his ass! A month after his rescue, his relationship with her father grew. He adored him.
"She needs a name!" Her father hollered, for she was in the other side of the house.
"HE, you mean?" She corrected.
"He, she, whatever. We need to give it a name!" He responded.
"I was thinking about 'Mica'!"
"Mmm....." Her father didn't sound like that was the right decision." How about 'Predator' instead, or 'Runt'!"
"Nah, I like 'Mica' better." She said.
"Fine...he's your bastard anyway." Her father said defeatedly.
