Somewhere, West Virginia, USA.
Morty groaned as his curtains were thrown open, piercing sunlight striking him.
"Its time to start your day Master Duval." An elderly voice spoke.
Morty cracked open an eye and saw the smug smirk on the face of his family's head butler.
Morty groaned again.
"Fuck off Charles! Let me sleep!"
Charles looked down on Morty with a sneer.
"Of course Young Master, because you have such a busy schedule to waste away as usual." He snidely said.
Morty growled as he sat up.
"You'd do well to remember your place Charles! You serve my family, which means. You. Serve. ME!"
Charles merely smirked at Mortimer.
"For now, Young Master. For now."
He collected empty bottles of expensive alcohol from Morty's bed stand and made his way from the room, before pausing in the doorway.
"I haven't informed your father of what has transpired at the mine."
He turned towards Morty with a sneer.
"It will be all the sweeter to watch you fail day after day until his return and I will relish when I am the one to throw you into the gutter."
He bowed his head, eyes still on Morty.
"Young Master." He said simply as he calmly strode out.
Morty ground his teeth so hard he could taste blood. Sharks the lot of them! It was no secret that the help hated him, Morty thought as he got out of bed. They were practically salivating at the chance to watch him fail.
A cruel smile formed on his lips. He couldn't wait until he could prove them wrong and watch as they fell over themselves to try and get into his good grace.
He reached over and checked his phone.
16 NEW VOICE MESSEGES!
Morty rolled his eyes and sighed as he listened to the messages. Most were from former miners. Either begging to come back to work or to threaten him.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
He deleted all those and was about to delete the last when he heard a familiar voice.
"Morty you lazy fuck! ANSWEAR THE PHONE!!! I'm at the mine and the place is closed up! What the hell happened!? Anyway since your not answearin' and this place is closed I'm just gonna borrow some stuff from the shed. Not like your usin' it now huh?"
Morty looked at his phone with a confused look.
"What could Jeb want at the mine?" He asked aloud.
Morty went pale.
The Mine! The Goblins!
Morty franticly called Jeb.
"Pickuppickuppickuppickup!" Morty muttered as the phone rang, each ring going unanswered adding to his worry for his friend.
Then it stopped and he could hear breathing on the other side.
"Jeb? Jeb!? Are you there!?" Morty asked anxiously.
A long pause.
Then a voice spoke.
"H-h-hello?" The other, noticeably female, voice asked.
Morty looked at his phone with confusion.
"Hello?"
"Hello!" The female voice said.
"Um, who is this?" Morty asked, confusion mounting.
"This is Ruby." The other voice stated simply.
"Um, hello Ruby?" Morty said uncertainly.
"Hello voice in the Rune Stone!" The other voice exclaimed excitedly.
Morty's confusion was now into the stratosphere.
"Yeah, hi. Is Jeb there?"
"Yes." The voice stated.
Morty paused for a moment.
"Can I speak with him?"
"No." Was all Morty got.
"Why not?" He asked, slightly worried.
"He's sleeping." The simple statement annoying Morty.
Morty rubbed his face.
"Can you wake him up?"
"Yes"
Another pause, and when he didn't hear Jeb's voice Morty continued.
"Well!?"
"Well what?"
Morty was fuming now.
"Well is he awake?!"
"No."
Morty slammed his head against the wall.
"Can you wake him up so I can talk to him!?"
The other voice yelped.
"Ruby come back to bed." Morty could recognize Jeb's voice on the other end.
The voice giggled.
"Coming! Bye voice in the rune stone! How do you stop thi-"
"Wait! Jeb! JEB!" Morty shouted as the line cut.
Morty looked at his phone more confused than worried. When did Jeb get a girlfriend, Morty thought as he dressed himself.
He walked to the guest bedroom next to his to retrieve the Ogre sisters. While they got odd looks from the staff, it wasn't unusual for Morty or his father to bring home girls.
He entered their room and found them in a pile in the center of the room. Everything in the room had been destroyed and thrown together into a type of haphazard tent/hut.
They were also VERY nekked. If he wasn't awake before he certainly is now.
Not like they had much on during their first encounter but at least there was enough to cover up bits that needed covering up. Now he had a full frontal view of two. Big. Ogre. Cu-
One of the sisters stretched with a groan that sounded, and felt, more like a roar. She sat up and blearily looked at Morty.
"Master!"
The other sister stirred at her sister announcing his arrival.
"Morning ladies." Morty said as he tried, halfheartedly, to tear his eyes away from the two women.
The first sister, he thought she was Urga, noticed his gaze and spread wider to give him an even better view.
"Is there somethin' you want Master?" He didn't know the big woman could purr but a shiver went up his spine when she said that.
While he wouldn't be opposed to it, he wanted to wait until he lived a little more before he consigned himself to death by snu-snu.
He coughed into his hand as he finally got the willpower to look away.
"Maybe another time, we have work to do back at the mine."
The two women awed in disappointment, though that didn't stop them from wiggling a little bit more for Morty.
It wouldn't be a bad way to go, Morty thought as his second brain began to take over. Sandwiched between two big women.
Morty shivered, then shook his head to clear his thoughts. Another time. Work first, THEN snu-snu.
He quickly left before his dick could drag him into an early grave.
Morty made his way to another room further down the hall and opened the doors.
BEEP!
BEEP!
BEEP!
And there laid Pierre Duvall, his grandfather. Though he looked far less grand than he used to.
Morty took a seat in a chair beside his bed and placed his hand upon his grandfather's.
"Bonjour Grand-Père, as you've no doubt heard. I closed the mine."
Morty paused as he listened to his grandfather's heart monitor beep away.
"At least, that's what everyone thinks I did."
Morty fought back tears as he watched his grandfather, who just 10 years ago was larger than life to him, struggle even to breathe. He was nothing more than a wisp now and Morty was almost afraid to even touch him for fear he'd break.
"I've got a plan Grand-Père! I wont be like my father! I'll be better! I'll make you and mama proud! You'll see! Everyone in this manor, this town, will see that Mortimer Duvall ain't no fuck up!"
He wiped his face, then he leaned over and kissed his grandfather's head.
"Au revoir Grand-Père."
Then Morty left the room. He had work to do.
