Chapter 5: Moving.
(*Streya’s POV.*)
Once the meeting was over, I was assured that I only had to wait in my cell for a few hours, while they get the necessary things in place for me to leave.
From what Ciri told me, the best human academy in this dimension, is oddly in America. Or rather, it wasn’t called that, but it was the same landmass. Currently, this facility is located in the middle of nowhere, at the north pole.
So, even if I tried to escape, I would just die in the cold weather? What a nice place to hold people captive... And no wonder no one tries to escape.
Ah, right, so holy water can be made by anyone, and just a drop is all that is needed to kill or at least heavily injure a vampire in this dimension. As such, I was given an even better deal, as I was now stated to be completely off-limits to all vampires.
Only vampires that I allow can approach me. This also means that even if an extremely minor crime was done to me by a vampire, they would get the death sentence. Of course, assuming that I testified against them.
All in all, my knowledge from my original dimension, truly came in handy. The interesting thing is that vampires don’t even exist in my world. Of course, that isn’t something that I will be telling anyone ever.
The block on my Personal Computer was also completely lifted. I could even play full-dive VR games! Though, I plan to do that sometime later. As you’re completely defenseless while playing them.
There was a knock on my door. I said that they could come in, and the door opened, revealing Ciri waiting at the door.
Ciri: “Your ride will be here shortly, but please come with me in the meantime.” She asked.
I didn’t see any reason why not to do so, and I just quietly followed her. When came to a room that I haven’t seen yet. It looked like a shooting range… What the hell? Why would there be a shooting range in this place?…
Ciri: “Are you surprised? Shooting firearms is one of the activities that those at this facility can engage in.” She said with a giggle.
Streya: “Okay, I’ll admit that I was surprised… But why are we here?” I ask.
Ciri: “To give you these.” She replied.
Another woman dressed as a maid came into the room. She had an interesting and futuristic case in her hands, that she handed to Ciri. When Ciri opened it up, I knew within seconds what was in the case.
It was a firearm and a nice-looking combat knife. Picking up the knife, although I do not know much about metal, the blade was clearly made out of silver. Please just ignore the markings on the knife that states that it is made of silver, I am just very intelligent!
There was a strap for both the firearm and the knife in the case, so I strapped both of them on my legs. With my new knife on my left leg, and my handgun on my right leg.
You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.
Looking at the firearm, it was made out of normal metals, but looked futuristic to some degree. There were five mags in the case, each loaded with silver bullets.
Streya: “Is giving me such dangerous weapons a good idea?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.
Ciri: “It comes with the deal that you’ve made. You might be far stronger than normal humans, but giving you weapons like these will make you feel safer.” She replied.
Streya: “I see, thanks!” I say with a smile.
As I was about to pick up the handgun, Ciri stopped me. The extra mags were already strapped to my leg, so why stop me now?
Ciri: “You have a right to own these weapons, but we would at least like for you to know basic firearm safety.” She said with a giggle.
With a smirk, I picked up the handgun, and walked over to one of the shooting range stands. Then I loaded a mag into the handgun, chambered a round, and shot until the mag was empty. It goes without saying, but I didn’t use those silver rounds. And instead, I used one of the mags filled with normal rounds that were already on the stand.
Ciri looked at the holographic display on the stand, and let out a surprised gasp. I then looked at it as well, and was kinda disappointed…
Streya: “Damn… my accuracy has fallen.” I say with a sigh.
I mean, I was accurate, but my groupings weren’t at good as they usually are. Maybe it’s because of my new body, and how I am just not used to it?
Ciri: “You’re more accurate than all of the girls in this facility, that includes the staff. Why do you think that you did bad? How did you even get this good at using firearms?” She asked with a confused expression.
Streya: “I’ve always loved guns, and my accuracy was far better in my last life.” I reply with a shrug.
Ciri: “How did you even end up dying in your last life? Was it by old age?” She asked with a curious tone.
Streya: “For one, why do you even believe me about my past life?” I ask.
Ciri: “You aren’t the first to be made such a deal. As in, there are others who have reincarnated into this world as well. Though, most of them have long since passed away.” She explained.
Streya: “Really? Interesting. As for how I died, there was a bank robbery, and I got killed during it. Well, I took out a few of the robbers, but I got shot a lot in the end, which ended up killing me.” I say with a nonchalant tone.
Ciri: “Hm… Then you had an interesting death.” She replied.
For fun, I shot some firearms with Ciri. I guess that I had a bad impression of her at first. Since she was really fun to hang out with. After doing that a little bit, my ride arrived.
Stupidly, I forgot that this dimension is many years in the future from mine. As my ride ended up being a shuttle… No, not a train, but a flying shuttle!
With a slightly nervous expression, I got onto the shuttle. Ciri and a few other maids that I had fun shooting firearms with, all waved me goodbye. Once we were off the ground, the windows of the shuttle shut out the outside completely.
AI Assistant: “It will take a few hours to reach our destination. I recommend that you play some games, or watch some movies while you wait.” She suggested.
Streya: “Sure. It’s not like I have anything else to do.” I reply.
Rather than games, I decided to watch movies instead. All of them revolved around lesbians… But why? Even the non-romance ones had lesbians in them…
Since my access to the internet is no longer restricted, I was able to look this up. Males have been extinct for hundreds of years… So it wasn’t that the content had lesbians in it, it was that it was the only market at all.
As women are the only ones to exist in this dimension. Come to think of it, there were no men in the games that I played either…
How has this dimension not been destroyed yet? Men have been gone for a long time, so how did humans not go extinct? Ah, magically bullshit, I see…
Humans being made in labs was something that became common almost thirty years ago. Before that, vampires are able to SOMEHOW get their human wives pregnant. Which is why normal humans aren’t that common.
Even the humans that weren’t enhanced like me, are all descended from humans that mated with vampires. So they’re strong by default. Though, my kind of human is even stronger. Weird world…
Well, it’s a good thing that I am a lesbian. And now I have damn near infinite lesbian content to consume! It’s like this dimension was made for me! With that, my first experience of the movies in this world began!
