Chapter 32: First Comes Marriage, then comes…
(*Streya’s POV.*)
Today was Ciri and Miki’s wedding day. Apart from us, there were many people attending their wedding. I didn’t realize how influential Ciri is… Probably due to us, but even Guri and Meme showed up. With this, it was basically telling the world how powerful of a family that Ciri and Miki would end up.
And, yes. This entire thing was being broadcasted. Why? Well, marriages in this world are not only sacred but also highly cherished. Most people here in this world want others to share in their happiness. Of course, such a thing isn’t free most of the time.
But as it is Ciri, a major government official, not only was the broadcasting free, but they were both PAID to have their wedding broadcasted. The amount of Credits paid was a secret, but Ciri leaked it to me. The payment was $500,000,000 million Credits to each of them. Not to mention, they will also get ten percent of the profits for the broadcast, and for when they resale the footage.
Footage would be an understatement. As this was the most expensive broadcast you could buy, it was recorded completely. Ah, it is hard to explain… Think of it like this, you could experience the entire wedding, in full dive VR, like you were actually there on that day. Yes, we have been contacted by the same company for Reina and I’s wedding…
Ciri: “Streya, I am ready.” She said with a warm tone.
Ciri was wearing the most beautiful wedding dress that I have ever seen… She practically shined! Suits weren’t really a thing in this world, so both Ciri and Miki were wearing wedding dresses. Both of them were absolutely beautiful! First, I will walk Ciri down the aisle, and then once I take Ciri to the stage, I will then go back to do the same for Miki.
Streya: “Alright then, let us make our way.” I reply with a smile.
Music and fanfare were abundant as I walked Ciri down the aisle. When I told you it was a wedding, did you think that they were having it in a small building? Try an entire goddamn stadium! Their wedding is literally a major event… At the bare minimum, there were at least a hundred thousand people here attending Ciri and Miki’s wedding…
Of course, the one footing the bill was the company that paid for the recording. Originally, Ciri and Miki didn’t want a big wedding, but they quickly changed their minds. Either it was because they wanted to spread happiness, or because of the bribe, I have no idea. Either way, it doesn’t detract from how wonderful of a wedding this is.
Stadium might have been the wrong word… Sure, it was used for sports, but it was mainly used for events like this. As such, rather than a place for sports, this place looked like a huge wedding venue. While walking Ciri to the stage, I was very nervous…

Ciri: “You’re nervous, Streya? That’s funny… You’re going to be a wreck on your wedding day, then.” She said with a laugh.
Streya: “Probably?” I say with an unsure tone.
Ciri: “I think that you will. Now, please go get my future wife, Streya.” She asked with a smile.
Streya: “Of course.” I reply.
I wanted to rush back to Miki, but as this was an event where so many people have shown up, I can’t just run. Besides, I was wearing a very expensive dress at the moment. It was also a gift from Reina, so I don’t want to ruin it. Eventually, I made it back to Miki.
Miki: “Streya… I’m nervous.” She said with a shaky tone.
Streya: “Why? Don’t you love Ciri?” I ask with a head tilt.
Miki: “I love her with all my heart. But having this many people watch our wedding, and not to mention seeing us say and do our vows, it is just so embarrassing!” She explained.
With a laugh, I took her hand and guided Miki to the stage. Why was she even embarrassed this much? They just have to say their vows, and then kiss, right? Sure, I understand that is a little embarrassing, but not by much. With a smile, I arrived at the stage with Miki in tow.
There wasn’t a priest to oversee their marriage. So, all they had to do was say their vows. To which they easily and happily did. Once they leaned in to kiss each other, I and the rest of the people attending their wedding started clapping.
Shortly, my claps stopped, but the other people kept clapping. As for me, I was beyond embarrassed… And it was second hand embarrassment! The worst kind of embarrassment… Rather than a peck on the lips, they straight up went for a deep kiss. But that wasn’t all…
After licking Miki’s neck for a while, Ciri started drinking her blood. This went on for a total of ten goddamn minutes! Once she finished, Ciri gave Miki yet another deep kiss! Then, they both waved to the audience with smiles on their faces. I mindlessly followed them back out of the stadium.
*Some Time Later.*
Streya: “…”
Ciri: “Streya? What’s wrong?” She asked.
Streya: “Hm? Ah, I just didn’t realize that weddings are that explicit…” I reply with an embarrassed tone and expression on my face.
Miki: “Explicit? That was a pretty tame wedding, Streya.” She said with a confused tone.
Ciri: “Miki, could you please get me some cake?” She asked with a smile.
Miki: “Of course! How did you know that I was crazing cake as well?” She said with a happy tone before walking away.
Currently, we were now in a building near the stadium. The after party was something more intimate, so only family and friends were allowed entry to it.
Ciri: “Back in your original world, what were the weddings like?” She asked with a curious tone.
Streya: “At the very most, the people getting married would kiss. But not a deep kiss, just a peck.” I answer.
Ciri: “Ah, so this wedding must have been a shock to you, huh?” She asked with a laugh.
Streya: “Yeah… Will I have to do that at my wedding?” I ask with a nervous tone.
Reina: “I would never do something that would make you uncomfortable or sad, Streya.” She said with a warm tone after she gave me a hug from behind.
Ciri: “You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do, Streya.” She advised.
Reina: “Yes. If you’re only comfortable with a small peck at our wedding, then I will not mind.” She said with a smile.
Streya: “I see… Thanks!” I reply before giving her a kiss on her lips.
Reina isn’t surprised by my talk about a different world, as I’ve already told her everything. She just found it funny that her plan was unnecessary from the start. Since I didn’t actually hate vampires at all. The rest of the wedding was amazing! As I flew back home with Reina on our shuttle, I got excited about our own wedding…
