Chapter 29: When Cleaning Goes Wrong...
(*Streya’s POV.*)
Reina has to go get started with her new job, but she dropped me off at my apartment first. It seems that Reina doesn’t need to work at the same place as me anymore, mainly because we’re already together, so she went to go become CEO of another one of her mothers companies.
Sin had already bought a new house, so the apartment was empty. Frankly, besides some clothes and personal items, such as my candy and toys, there really wasn’t much in this apartment to take with me back to Reina and my house.
And, no. Packing everything up in this place won’t be hard either. If you thought that major companies only had access to those cool transport cubes, you would be wrong. Anyone can buy them.
As such, I bought one, which can easily hold all of my items that I wish to take with me. And for cleaning, the house had built in robots to deal with it. I just had to direct them.
My new house has automatic ones, so the maids mainly just assist Reina and I. I wasn’t in this place long, but I oddly felt somewhat sad about leaving it… Oh, I know! I will just buy the damn place!
And that is what I did. The price wasn’t even that high, either. Of course, I am still taking my stuff with me. I just bought this place for the memories, and so that my children can use it in the future.
Yes, even if they end up being vampires, the best vampire academy is also close by. So either way, there are many reasons to justify this house that I randomly bought, even though I don’t need to buy it.
Look, when you have this many Credits, you can afford to waste some of them. Besides, I am sure that it won’t end up being a waste in the end. Hm? Ah, Sin is calling me.
Sin: “Streya, did you finish up cleaning?” She asked.
Streya: “I just did.” I answer.
Sin: “That fast? Ah, I guess there really wasn’t that much there in the first place.” She replied.
Streya: “Yeah, all that I decided to take with me, all fit in one storage cube. The future sure is crazy, huh?” I reply.
Sin: “To you, I guess that this kind of world is pretty crazy. But to most people, they would just take it for granted.” She said with a laugh.
Streya: “Maybe? Oh, yeah. What are we going to do with that car?” I ask.

I forgot to mention, but as punishment, Sina had to pay for complete repairs of the car that she hit me with, and then give it to me. As I don’t have a shuttle, it is still sitting in our shuttle garage.
When I can fly anywhere with a shuttle, why would I bother to drive a car? Especially when they’re significantly more dangerous to drive, then just flying in a shuttle.
Sin: “I’ve been meaning to ask you about it…” She said with a nervous tone.
Streya: “Hm? What about it?” I reply.
Sin: “Well, Herta, the woman that I am interested in, she really likes antique cars like yours. Actually, we started dating a little while ago.” She answered.
Streya: “Ah, you started dating her? Congratulations!” I say with a happy tone.
Sin: “Thanks! And about the car…” She asked again.
Streya: “Are you asking for me to give it to you, just so you can use it to get more of her attention?” I ask with a curious tone.
Sin: “That isn’t… Okay, yes. That is my intention. I am sorry for being a bad mother…” She said with a remorseful tone.
Streya: “That doesn’t make you a bad mother, Sin. You can take it. I have no desire to ride or own it at all. It will be better in your hands, since you can use it to flirt.” I reply with a warm tone.
Sin: “It sounds sinful when you put it like that…” She said with a nervous tone.
Streya: “Hey, you’re Sin, after all.” I say with a giggle.
Sin: “…That…” She said with a sigh.
Streya: “Okay, I admit, that was a bad joke, sorry.” I say with an awkward tone.
Sin: “That it was… But I am sure that Reina enjoys your jokes.” She said with a laugh.
Streya: “I do get her to laugh from time to time, so maybe?” I reply.
Sin: “I’ll pick up the car tomorrow. Ah, wait, when do you turn over the apartment?” She asked.
Streya: “I bought it, so you can come over whenever.” I reply.
Sin: “Okay, thanks!” She said with a happy tone.
I chatted with her a bit more before hanging up. I then did some finishing touches to the rest of the apartment. And by that, I mean that I scheduled some major upgrades to it.
If my children are going to use this place, it better be the best that my Credits can buy! Oh my, now Reina is calling me… I guess that I am popular? Jokes aside, I quickly picked up the call.
Reina: “Hello, dear. How goes the cleaning?” She asked.
Streya: “It’s done now.” I reply.
Reina: “Already?” She said.
Streya: “Yeah, I make quick work, it seems.” I reply.
Reina: “Alright, I am coming to pick you up.” She said.
Streya: “Hm? Aren’t you at work?” I ask with a confused tone.
Reina: “I just finished my shift. Besides, there were reports of a dangerous person around your area. So I coming to pick you up right away.” She advised.
Streya: “Dangerous? What do you mean?” I ask with a curious tone.
Reina: “I hate bringing this up, but similar to what happened to you in the past, there is a new vampire serial killer.” She explained.
Streya: “…”
For real? Ah, all of the power in my house just went off. And that is a beautiful women coming into my yard…
Reina: “Streya?” She asked.
Streya: “Hey, I think that the murderer is a very wealthy person…” I say with a sigh.
Reina: “Why?” She asked with a confused tone.
Streya: “Just a hunch… Only a person with power and massive amounts of Credits, can shut down all of the power in my house.” I answer.
Reina: “Streya!?” She yelled.
Streya: “Whatever happens, just know that I love you, Reina!” I say with a warm but hurried tone.
The woman was now at my door. As I didn’t lock it, she easily opened it up and came into my apartment. The woman, before I could even react, vanished before my eyes. Soon, I was knocked out cold… I just wanted to clean my apartment!…
