Chapter 19: I Want Her.
(*Reina’s POV.*)
The woman that Sina hit ended up being in a worse state than we originally thought. She was in a coma for over a month. As my mother poured over the information on Streya, the worse her mood became.
What we did to Streya was more than enough for her to have us all executed. My mother was more than willing to give Streya everything that we owned, just so that we wouldn’t be executed.
It went without saying, but unlike all the times before, Sina was punished greatly this time. She no longer had access to an infinite amount of Credits, and she lost her freedom. No. She wasn’t locked up. Sina just had five maids watching her every move.
Each maid was given the permission to prevent Sina from doing anything bad. These restrictions could last over a hundred years, according to our mother. But both of our mothers love us dearly. These restrictions will probably only last for a few years.
Besides, Sina is reckless, but what she did clearly greatly affected her. I’d actually say that Sina was traumatized by what happened. Hopefully, this event is a new start for her, and she will slowly become more mature.
It was a dirty trick, but we convinced Ciri, the government official, to let us be hidden in Streya’s hospital room. Just so that we could intervene and prevent her from having us all executed.
Streya was amazingly kind, and as she praised me, I felt an odd tinge in my chest. I put that feeling aside, as there were far more important things to deal with. As Sina apologized to Streya, the smell of her blood was too much once again, and Sina was lost in its aroma.
Luckily, we were able to knock Sina out before she could assault Streya again. Once we did, all of us were scared out of our wits. A vampire attacking a human like this is more than enough on its own to get said vampire executed.
Thankfully, Streya took no offense to what Sina did, and instead decided to spook us further. From what was explained, it was no wonder why the government supported Streya to this extend.
With only half of the information that Streya knows of, could easily destroy this world for my kind. Instead, Streya had no intentions on using any of this information to take over the world from us.
Sure, she might use it in self defense, but that is her right. On a table next to her bed, was a silver handgun and knife. The knife was made out of silver, my body could tell that much.
And the extra mags on that table told me that she had silver rounds as well. They even looked to be coated in holy water too… Allowing her to own and use such weapons gave us more than enough information how valued she is to the government.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
All of this isn’t even including how good her grades are. Her grades are so good that she could easily get a job at any company that she wished. Even my mother’s companies wouldn’t be able to deny her a job…
As my mother and I apologized to Streya once more before leaving, I got another whiff of her blood. It was intoxicating still… When I left the room, and as I was sitting in our shuttle with mom, I realized a terrible, terrible thing…
Guri: “What is it dear?” She asked with a warm tone.
Unlike earlier today, and for the entire month, mom was now in a good mood. As you would expect from being able to keep your life and your assets. 100 billion Credits wasn’t even that much to us. It would only take us a few months to recover that many Credits. Frankly, Streya should have asked for far more from us…
Reina: “Mother… I think that I might have fallen in love with Streya…” I say with an embarrassed tone.
Guri: “…You’ve read her file, right?” She asked.
Reina: “Yes, I have.” I reply with a nod.
Guri: “Then you should know that she probably despises us vampires greatly. Our kind ruined her life and her mind. And just when she’s started to get her life back together, one of my daughters, who happens to be a vampire, runs her over with a car.” She said with a serious tone.
Reina: “…”
Guri: “Streya was nice. In fact, she was downright respectful, even though she wasn’t required to be like that. Either it was fear, or because she is just that nice, even after what she’s been through. But do you really think that she would want to be with you?” She asked with an unsure tone.
Reina: “I…” I say with a stutter.
Guri: “Would Streya really be interested in the sister of a woman who almost got her killed? Let alone killed, I am sure that the accident caused her a lot of pain.” She said with her arms crossed.
Reina: “Even still, Mother. I cannot deny my feelings for her.” I say with an assured tone.
Guri: “I am not saying for you to avoid her. I just want you to understand that getting her to be with you will be a major uphill battle.” She said with a sigh.
Reina: “I am well aware of that. Streya is just so beautiful! Not to mention how good her blood smells.” I say with a wistful tone.
Guri: “That would be an understatement. I have been with Meme for many, many years, but I have never thought about cheating on her. Streya’s blood smelled so damn good, and that’s while it’s still in her body.” She said as she licked her lips.
Reina: “She spat out blood after Sina hit her, the smell of her blood on the ground was intoxicating. I almost lost myself and licked it up straight from the ground.” I say with an embarrassed tone and expression.
Guri: “Yes, it is no wonder that Sina lost herself. I can’t blame her. I need to get her to drink some blood wines, otherwise she might end up assaulting a random woman.” She said with a sigh.
The rest of the trip home was spent with us planning on how I should get Streya’s attention. Frankly, we didn’t have that many ideas. She should hate our kind with a burning passion, so I have to tread lightly around her.
Though, regardless of it will take many, many years to get her to be mine, I will keep trying. That is, unless she wishes for me to not be around her. If my presence upsets and causes her pain, then I will not linger around her.
Streya is a free human, so she will have far more pride in herself than most humans do. I can’t even bribe her to get in a relationship with me via Credits. She has a lot at the moment, and she can easily get a high-paying job.
Unlike other vampires, my fight for my mate will be far harder than most. Actually, that just makes me want her even more… I need to carefully come up with a plan to get her interested in me…
