Chapter 16: My Sister Hit a Girl...

(*Reina’s POV.*)

I was born into a family of four. My mother greatly loves her human mate, and they have always got along with each other. Despite being born from the same women, my little sister was incredibly reckless, while I was very responsible.

Sina was always bailed out by our parents whenever she did anything bad. Of course, she never did anything that led to people’s deaths or injuries.

On one such day, my sister did the most reckless thing that she has ever done… Sina had purchased a very, very expensive antique. Our vampire mother was the owner of a very profitable business.

As such, we have never not gotten what we’ve wanted. That went for Sina, me and my human mother. This doesn’t always happen, but Sina and I were both born as vampires. Even at the ripe age of fifty, we’re still considered very young by our kind. Though, humans would call us more than adults.

Even with their immortality granted by us vampires, or their extended lives, they still considered that age to be mature. In the case of my sister, she was basically a reckless teenager. While I was the mature and responsible sister that always tried to keep her out of trouble.

Older vehicles, I mean, the ones like these cars, required fossil fuels, such as gas. Luckily, or rather, unluckily in this case, the one that Sina bought was powered by electricity.

Because of that, she was able to actually drive it around. And of course, I went along for the ride. Most of these vehicles were scrapped because they were too dangerous and harmful to the environment.

With them being so rare, the one that Sina bought ended up costing over 25,000,000 Credits. And that isn’t counting how many Credits it took to deliver the damn thing.

Sina drove the car with reckless abandon. This was fine, as she still drove safe, but fast. Even better, this car was probably only one of a couple actually on the road at the moment.

Sina: “Isn’t this amazing, Reina? I told you that buying this antique would be worth it!” She said with a happy smile.

Reina: “I’ll admit that it is fun to drive around in, but surely we will get bored in time, right?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.

Sina: “Not if we only drive it every one and a while.” She replied with a shrug.

Reina: “That is, assuming that you do not crash it. Remember, we will be fine in the event of a crash, but the vehicle won’t be.” I advise with a serious tone.

Sina: “Aren’t you just worrying for no reason? You should trust in my driving skills.” She replied with a nonchalant tone.

Reina: “Driving skills? You watched a many decades old video on how to safely drive a car! That really isn’t nearly enough learning…” I say with a sigh.

Sina: “That so? But I have been doing a pretty good job so far.” She replied with another shrug.

Reina: “You’ve been going 90 miles per hour this entire time…” I say with a nervous tone.

Sina: “Not true! I’ve only gone that fast on long straight roads! I go slow around places with a lot of turns and corners.” She said in defense.

Going fifty is considered slow to you, Sina?… Our mothers are going to freak out when they find out that she purchased this car… That is, assuming that she also doesn’t end up crashing it…

Stupidly, Sina went back on her word. She got better at taking turns and corners, so she sped up even faster. This would be her key mistake. As she rounded a corner, she hit a woman with her car…

As the car didn’t just instantly stop and slightly deform around her, the person we hit was clearly a human girl. Sina was too shaken up to put the car in park, but luckily I was calm enough to do so.

Sina rushed out of the car to the woman that she had hit. The woman was alive, but injured. Then something else went wrong. Sina went into blood lust from the smell of the woman’s blood.

I acted quickly and knocked her out. Going over to the woman, her blood was the most alluring that I have ever smelled. Blood wines exist, but not even the most expensive wine in mother’s collection could compare to this smell…

After swallowing the saliva in my mouth, and biting my lips to calm down, I called emergency services. Or, I would have. But an entire swat force showed up. They pointed their firearms at me, and I was greatly terrified…

Their ammo should be coated with holy water, not to mention that their rounds are made out of silver as well. So they could easily kill me. I kept as still as possible and had my hands up in the air.

Ciri: “Do you realize what you have just done?” She yelled.

This woman was clearly the one who is in charge of this swat team. The woman that we hit seems to be far more important than I thought… This will be horrible to explain to our parents…

Reina: “I… I wasn’t the one driving…” I say in defense.

While I was been yelled at by this woman, they took away the girl we hit in a shuttle. Looking at the shuttle, it was marked as one of the hospitals that my mother owns.

It’s the most high class and expensive hospital in the world, so at least that woman will be given the best treatment. She should survive this, even though we were speeding so fast.

Ciri: “You weren’t driving?” She asked.

Reina: “No. My sister was.” I reply.

Ciri: “Why is she asleep?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.

Reina: “This woman’s blood is very alluring, and she couldn’t resist going into blood lust filled trance. I had to knock her out so Sina wouldn’t assault the woman.” I explain calmly.

Ciri: “I see… Why do I recognize you somewhat?” she asked with a curious tone.

Reina: “My full name is Reina Violet.” I answer.

Ciri: “You two are Guri and Meme’s daughters? You two have caused a major problem for your parents… Depending on what Streya wants to do, you entire family could be executed, or at the very least bankrupted.” She said with a long sigh.

Reina: “…”

Executed!? This woman is that important!? Dammit… My sister has truly done it this time… As I had committed a crime, the woman kept me in her company. We got on a shuttle headed to the same hospital as that woman went to. Of course, I took my still sleeping and reckless sister along with us.

She told me that our parents were already contacted, and that they would meet us there. On the ride there, I decided to look into all of the information about this woman. Halfway there, I realize how much Sina had fucked up…
