Chapter 27: Do you Love me?

(*Streya’s POV.*)

Like she was desperate for me to love her, Reina spent every second of the day pampering me in some way. One of the more annoying ones was Reina picking me up in a princess carry, just to take me to the restroom…

Streya: “Reina? Could you drive… er, fly me home?” I ask.

Reina: “Huh? Why?… Don’t you live with me now?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.

Streya: “Do I?” I reply with a head tilt.

Reina: “Yes, if you want to.” She replied with a happy smile.

Streya: “I’ll think about it…” I say with a sigh.

Reina: “Have I… upset you in some way?” She asked with a nervous tone.

Streya: “No… Well, it’s just that you’ve been smothering me all day. It’s like you’re begging me to love you. AH, and I do love you, by the way.” I answer.

Streya: “Reina?” I ask.

Reina: “Streya, I need to call my mother real quick. If you want, you can go play a game in the VR pod.” She said before getting up from the couch.

Reina then went into the other room. While waiting, I browsed the internet on my PC. I didn’t find anything that caught my interest, so I ended up contacting Sin. I informed her that I would be living with Reina from now on.

Sin: “I understand, Streya. I am glad that you two are happy with each other.”

Streya: “I’ll be sure to visit you from time to time. Ah, take any of the Credits from my account and buy yourself a house. It would be odd for you to continue to live in my apartment, after all. It is just for the academy.”

Sin: “You’re saying that I get to buy a very nice house, and use it to impress the woman I am interested in? You’re truly the best daughter ever!”

Streya: “Don’t just limit it to a house. I forgot to tell you this, but you can buy whatever you want to, Sin.”

Sin: “Really? Becoming your mother was the best decision that I have ever made!”

Our messages went along like that. Soon, Reina came back in the room. She seemed somewhat embarrassed, and she had a red face. What happened?

Reina: “Streya, have you heard of the honeymoon phase?” She asked.

Streya: “Yeah, but I assume that it is different for vampires, right?” I reply.

Streya: “How long will that last?” I ask with a curious tone.

Reina: “It depends… Usually, how long it lasts is a genetic thing.” She replied with a sigh.

Streya: “Oh? So how long did it last for Guri?” I ask.

Reina: “Ten years…” She said with a defeated sigh.

Ten years!? Well, it wasn’t really that bad, to be honest. Now that I know why she did it, I am not upset about it anymore. In fact, this just gives me something to tease Reina about! How could I not like such an outcome?

Streya: “It shouldn’t be that bad, though, right?” I say with a giggle.

Reina: “It’s really bad, Streya. During that time, my mom lost billions of Credits in profit, just because Meme was always on her mind all day…” She said with a sad tone.

Streya: “Aren’t we going to live together? I just have to tell you that I love you every morning. It should be fine.” I say with a shrug.

Reina: “If you don’t think that I realize that you like to tease me, then you would be wrong. I just like it. I bet that you will just not tell me that, just so you could tease me.” She complained with a pout.

With a sigh, I gave her a hug and a kiss. Reina is truly funny. I am glad that she is basically just the same as before. Her demeanor was all that really changed.

Streya: “This little affliction is something that causes you to act in a way that you don’t consent to, Reina. I will not use such a thing to tease you. It would be similar to getting a drunk person to do whatever you want them to do.” I say with a warm tone.

Reina: “I…I see. Thanks. I shouldn’t have doubted you, sorry.” She said with a remorseful tone.

Streya: “It’s okay, dear. Though, I will still tease you about it. I just won’t force you to be in that state.” I explain.

Reina: “I realize that, Streya. You’re so caring, that is one of the main reasons why I love you.” She said with a smile before giving me another kiss.

Streya: “Oh? I thought that you loved me for my body and blood?” I ask with a joking tone.

Reina: “Those are a bonus. Streya, more than anything, I love you for you.” She said with a big smile.
