Chapter 24: Mission Success! But… Early?

(*Reina’s POV.*)

Oddly, Streya was very quick to fall in love with me. Well, I wasn’t brave enough to ask her that and verify it, but at least she was willing to date me.

I told her that it was a year, but I actually planned to take around five years to start dating Streya. Much to my amazement, she agreed to be with me on the first date. To her, I didn’t even say that it was a date…

The plan was to become her friend, and then slowly display my feelings towards her. As expected from how she lives her life, she doesn’t do anything halfway, or at a slow pace either.

Streya likes me, and I like her. With that, there was no reason for her to not engage in a romantic relationship with me. I’d call myself mature, but clearly Streya was the most mature of us two. I felt like I did a good job on keeping my intentions hidden, but she instantly realized that I was interested in her.

Which makes me quite happy, since she knew that it was actually me secretly asking her out on a date, but she still agreed to go anyway. Her words at the hospital weren’t just her joking with her friend, it seems.

Usually, I would just ride the shuttle home, but today I was so happy that I decided to jump out of it mid-flight, and I flew the rest of the way home. Flying is amazing, and if it wasn’t for Streya being underage by a few months, I would have offered to let her fly.

At the door to our house, my mother, Guri was waiting for me. She had a conflicted look on her face. Huh, why?…

Guri: “You flew home… Either that means that you’re happy, or that you’re upset.” She said with a sigh.

Reina: “Happy? I am beyond happy, mother! Streya agreed to date me!” I say with a happy tone.

Guri: “She did? But… how? This was just the first step of many in our plan…” She said with a confused expression.

Reina: “Unfortunately for the plan, Streya is on the same maturity level as you. She knew right away that it was actually a date, and she knew that I had feelings for her.” I explain after we went inside our house, and sat down on our couch.

Guri: “I see… I guess planning around her being an immature woman was a bad idea.” She said with a sigh.

Reina: “Well, because of that slip up, we have gotten together quicker than we thought that it would take.” I reply with a shrug.

Guri: “I am happy for you two, but Reina, you need to be careful. Love drastically increases your desire to drink her blood.” She advised with a serious tone.

Reina: “I know… I almost drank her blood by accident. I just got caught up in her… everything…” I say with a remorseful tone.

Guri: “You did what!? Reina… You can still get her to love you, you just have to apologize to her a lot.” She said with a worried tone.

Reina: “Hm? Ah, just like you, I was worried that she would hate me after that. But instead, she said that it was her fault for seducing me too much. To be fair to me, she suggested that we get a hotel room together, and then she wrapped her arms around my waist.” I explain.

Guri: “That… No wonder you couldn’t resist…” She said with a sigh.

Reina: “Yeah, she had me at hotel room, let alone getting that close to me…” I say with a reminiscent tone.

Guri: “She is far more mature than we realized then… I did something similar with Meme when we first started dating. Like Streya, she was a free human. But her reaction was bad, and I had to spend months to get her to like me again.” She said with a long sigh.

Reina: “Well, at least it worked out better for me.” I say with a smug tone.

Guri: “You cheeky girl… You should bring her here soon.” She suggested.

Reina: “Are you sure that is a good idea? What if Sina gets a whiff of her?” I ask with an unsure tone.

Guri: “I mean when she is of age, Reina. Sina’s mate will be here in a few weeks, as she had reached adulthood. Once Sina has been with her mate for a while, she won’t have the urge to be with anyone else.” She explained.

Reina: “Didn’t you mentioned that you wanted to drink Streya’s blood, though?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.

Guri: “I did, but it was by a very small amount of desire. I still would never cheat on Meme, I just love her too much for that. Not even Streya’s once in a lifetime blood could get me to cheat on your mother.” She denied with a smile.

Sina: “You got her to date you!?” She exclaimed.

Without realizing it, Sina was floating above us, listening in on our conservation. Wait… I mentioned that a while ago, why are you only reacting now? I guess she couldn’t hold it in any longer.

Reina: “That I did, what of it?” I reply with a head tilt.

Sina: “I am just a little jealous, okay? Mostly for her blood, though. I still love my new mate, I won’t be cheating on her, so don’t worry about it.” She replied before flying away, probably back to her room, since the most interesting topics of our conversation have been spoken.

Guri: “I wish that she would get rid of that ease dropping habit…” She said while rubbing her head that was most likely in pain.

Reina: “It’s fine… At least she has gotten way better than before.” I say with a sigh.

Guri: “Yes… I guess that I should be happy about her progress. Don’t tell your future wife this, but I am sorta glad that Sina hit her with a car.” She said with a joking tone.

Reina: “I won’t, don’t worry.” I reply with a giggle.

Oh, I totally will! Streya will most likely find it funny, anyway. After talking to mom a bit more, I went up to my room. Now that I think about it, I will soon need a house of my own. I can’t take Streya here and do sexual things with her…

I mean, I could, but it would be embarrassing… To distract myself from our kiss that I still fondly feel and remember, I decided to look for houses to buy. I don’t think that I will be getting any sleep tonight, though…
