Chapter 23: The Legal System is Annoying!

(*Streya’s POV.*)

Once the ride was over, we just walked along the park for a while. Of course, while holding each other’s hands. Oddly, being in love with Reina didn’t scare me at all.

In fact, I am just excited! If the first date was enough for me to completely fall for her, then just imagining what the rest of my life with her will be like, is like a dream to me.

And no. Reina didn’t use any vampire magic on me to make me fall in love with her. It exists, yeah. But only a few vampires can do it. Let alone being able to mind control people, it is highly illegal to even attempt to do so.

Reina: “Streya, don’t take this the wrong way, but you’ve ruined my plans.” She said with a happy sigh.

Streya: “What do you mean?” I ask with a curious tone.

Reina: “I had an entire year planned out, just about how I would get you to start going out with me. Now that we’re together, it’s sad that we can’t actually do anything for a while, due to your age.” She replied.

Streya: “Why not? Aren’t you like super rich? I am sure that breaking a few laws is something that you can get away with.” I say with a thinking pose.

Reina: “Maybe? But I would rather not risk being executed for dating an underage woman. Actually, we can date, we just can’t do anything sexual. That kiss was pushing the boundaries of the law quite a bit. Especially that tongue part…” She denied.

Streya: “Sad… The sun is about to go down, should we get a hotel room? This place does have hotel, it seems.” I propose.

Reina: “Streya… you underestimate how seductive both you and your blood are. If we get a hotel room together, there is no way for me to hold myself back.” She said with a sigh.

Streya: “Really? I am sure that you can restrain yourself, Reina.” I say as I wrap my arms around her waist and stare into her eyes.

Before I could react, Reina almost bite my neck. She looked scared, but more like she was upset with herself. She distance herself from me, and her expression was like she just killed a puppy, or something…

Reina: “I…” She said with a shocked expression.

Streya: “Reina, I hate drama. That was my fault, as I didn’t take you seriously. I am an adult, I will take responsibility for my actions. And I will not hate you for this.” I say with a serious tone while holding her hands in both of mine.

Reina: “I’m sorry… But yeah, that is just how alluring you’re, Streya… I don’t know if we can be together if I react like this…” She said while not being able to look me in the eyes.

Streya: “Trust yourself more, Reina. You were fine with the kiss, I just accidentally seduced you too much this time.” I say as I rub the back of her head.

Reina: “That’s right… I didn’t feel the urge to drink your blood at that moment. Anyway, we can’t get a room together, as I won’t be able to restrain myself when I wake up in the morning.” She said with a sigh after she calmed down.

Streya: “Alright then, how about we play chess on the way to my home?” I suggest.

Reina: “I would love that, Streya.” She replied with a smile.

After that, we went back to her shuttle and got in it. Reina was still upset, that was clear to see. But that was pretty much my fault. Frankly, I think that I wanted her to drink my blood… This isn’t something that I will admit to Reina, though…

Just when I was praising the government of this world, they just went had to get in the way of my romance!? Maybe I should an uprising… Nah, it won’t take that long until I am old enough to fully date Reina. I just have to wait it out…

To try to cheer her up, I lost to Reina on purpose. Stupidly, like a child, she asked me if I let her win. Even though I lied and said that I didn’t, with her vampire powers, she was able to tell that I actually did. With a pout, Reina said that she wouldn’t play chess with me anymore, unless I do not let her win out of pity anymore.

With a sigh, I kept playing chess with Reina, and she kept losing each game. Rather than let her win, I told spent an hour explaining each trick and tactic that I knew of. She was a very fast learning, and she quickly became more fun to play against.

Of course, she still couldn’t win against me. But at least it was more taxing for me to actually win against her. Once we made it back to my home, she swore that she would practice, and one day, she will win a game of chess against me.

She swore that after she took me to my door. With a giggle, I gave her a kiss on her cheek, and she left my house with a bright red blush on her face. Yeah… That was an amazing date! When I turned around, Sin was there waiting in the living room with a smile on her face.

A smile cropped up onto my face as well, and I ran over to Sin and gave her a big hug. Something that became a habit for us, was her giving me a lap pillow while we relaxed on our couch. Tonight was no different.

Streya: “Mom, I have a girlfriend now!” I say with a happy tone while looking up at Sin.

Sin: “Really? That fast?… Regardless, I am happy for you, dear.” She said with a smile as she pat my head.

Streya: “Stupidly, the law prevents us from doing anything sexual…” I say with a sigh.

Sin: “You won’t have to wait that long until you can, Streya.” She said with a giggle.

I mean, I know that she was right, but I still gave her a pout. Truly, I am very grateful to Sin. In just a month, she was able to claim being my mother wholesale. I see her as my mom, and that is who she is. I can’t act like a needy, spoiled girl around anyone else besides Sin, after all.

Maybe because today was long, and I had a lot of fun, but I soon fell asleep on Sin’s lap. And annoyingly, I ended up having a wet dream involving Reina…
